I have heard a friend who is so close to the corridor of Power in Nigeria. He he shared his experience about the activities of some powerful group in the Political arena that goes beyound ordinary. In my own thinking I thought with a funtional education(not limited to formal Education) the problem will be solved. However, with the looks of how decay our moral standard is, I feel we need more prayers in this country undecided

Nigeria's problem is not about education at all. You do not need to ask a politician to know this. Infact, one does not necessarily have to have a good education to be a good politician. The Problem in Nigeria is more a moral issue than it is an education issue. Everywhere you look, you will see how selfishness has consumed the majority of our economy, society and communities. SELFISHNESS has become the rule of the day and even on the family level, it is now so deep that mothers send their children out to make money and rarely ask how they make it or even advise them to stay away from evil means of obtaining it. As long as the money comes in, even if a few have to die or be maimed for it, it is fine.

I think if Christian will call for Fasting and Prayer things may change for better. It was done in the Bible by Old Testament Prophets and Things worked out.

Or what you think?

II Chronicles 7:14 qualifies the people that fast and pray for God to hear. it says "if my people that are called by name" most Nigerians are called by their church/mosque and afa names and not that of God.

Nigeria was better when we didn't have all these religious people. How many conflicting versions of the truth can actually be true? how many of these places of worship is actually set up to worship God?

if you go to an average church on a sunday and it was possible to place a microphone in the heart of the men/women there to broadcast the reason they were there i think you will see about 95% didn't have God as an agenda.

we are God users. church going and prayers that does not affect the way we live is rubbish.
if we have clean hearts and don't jump from church to secret cult meetings life would be wonderful. we want to shout for God to help so we can continue to live the Godless lives we are living at the moment. my brother if you were God how would you like the people you see?

gross darkness is ruining the place. some people are trying but the number of people putting their hands into evil is too much.

we should begin to repent and change then begin to pray.
righteousness exalts a nation. any nation.

Christians have been fasting and praying since God-knows-when, even to the point of emaciation, but things seem to be getting worse.  Lawd help us!

to me God is not the wahala here. the wahala is Nigerians and our moral bankruptcy. prayer on its own is not a bad idea on its own but would God be creating special set of rules for Nigerians?
