You are not being honest

..........there are no texts of the Qur'an that defame other religion........i challenge you to post them.....

..........Before now, there have been numerous websites that depict the prophet of Islam in negative lights....and Muslims have been living up with it
.........So therefore, u don't have to be too intelligent to know that going further to make videos and obscene cartoons of him was multipurpose.....
.........that is .......intentionally made to mock him.........
.....it a different thing to intend to engage the whole Muslim community in an argument concerning their prophet, and it's another thing to just go ahead and mock him.....
..................you should see the video yourself........

Oh, come off it! grin grin grin Art thou a stranger to the Quran!

Don't need no obscene videos or cartoons to tell me about Prophet Mo; The Quran and Hadiths already record his deeds in good enough detail! Movies are usually rubbish versions of a book, as we already know ... they leave out the best bits!

Evidently Solitary confinement breeds dual insanity!

what these muslims dont know is that their religion is a blatant defamation to humanity.

Of course this is tolerable..........
......... i.e keeping YOUR IDEA OF MUHAMMED in your head, typing it with your hands or saying it with your mouth etc......all of course TO THE RIGHT AUDIENCE.......
...........and not gather people with the intention to act a movie of the idea in your head, post it in places as public as YouTube or a newspaper for all to see and expect that it remains just as tolerable as the other methods above.........

i am not sure if people really want us to leave Islam for a good reason
.......or maybe are just hell bent in misguiding us (i mean i don't care how and why you should but just leave ISLAM)
........the above is just one of the few ways they hope to achieve this.......... "PRESENTING WRONG Translations OF THE QUR'AN"....

5:73 says “Infidels are they who say Allah is the Christ, [Jesus] son of Mary”

Sahih International
They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.

Muhsin Khan
Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.

Pickthall
They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no Allah save the One Allah. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.

Shakir
Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah is the third (person) of the three; and there is no god but the one Allah, and if they desist not from what they say, a painful chastisement shall befall those among them who disbelieve.

.........these are part of the nuances in language that not everybody will notice..........TONES and MOOD....
.....because one of the few ways to convince people is getting to their minds, it is then imperative that the speaker tries all that he can to lobby with the hearts of his listeners....with his use of words(i.e presenting statements in ways that he considers most appropriate to drive home his points)....this is general to everybody and depends on speaker or writer's motive......in fact my own post is an example........

Now to the above translations....
......it is easily predictable that the first translator is an hater of Islam as it is obvious from his use and choice of words ...now u get it "the speaker or writer's motive"............his is different in tone and meaning from the rest of the translations.....though incomplete
.....even though it can not be said that other translations don't differ at all, i think their differences would be forgivable after recognizing the "human factor" thing.......assuming they are accurate....

you would agree that "you are a liar" is not as mild as "you lied"......now it depends on individuals to see similar intent in the above translation.....the first statement

.......If u said other translators were biased and that their translations were based on their proclivity to their faith......(of course not without a proof)
.........then i would say the same thing applies to the the first translator above.

arabic words you translated from infidels to unbelievers is kafir.
Yes, the word kafir is a "legal term" denoting non-Muslims; and yes, most modern English Qurans translate it as "non-believer."
However , and as you know fully well, the word kafir (plural, kafirin ) is heavy laden with negative associations, or, as I originally wrote, it "connotes 'enemies,' 'evil-doers,' and every bad thing to Muslim ears."
Accordingly, Sharia mandates hostility for kafirin —war and subjugation when they are weak, deception and smooth-talk when they are strong. Quran 2: 98 simply declares that "Allah is the enemy of kafirin "—regardless of whether we translate that word as "infidels" or "non-believers.
In fact, doctrine aside, consider how the Quran aloneportrays "non-believers": they are "guilty" and"unjust" (10:17, 45:31, 68:35); terror is to be cast intheir hearts for their injustice (3:151); they are"disliked" and "accursed" by Allah (2:89, 3:32, 33:64); they are the "vilest of beasts" (8:55, 98:6), like "cattle" and "devoid of understanding" (47:12, 8:65); and "enemies" to Muslims (4:101).
And why are "non-believers" described thus? Simplybecause they are non-believers—because they are infidels .
And as for your quotes @ bolded. what if a Christian book or Western movie appeared declaring that “ unbelievers are they who say Muhammad is the prophet of God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. If Muslims would consider that a great defamation against Islam—and they would, with the attendant rioting, murders, etc.—then by the same standard it must be admitted that the Quran defames Christians and Christianity.
Re: How ‘religious Defamation’ Laws Would Ban Islam by ParisLove2(f): 8:46pm On Sep 30, 2012
and of course this translation is also different from it sister translations....the same argument holds for it as above
Pickthall
And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!
Shakir
And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!
Dr. Ghali
And the Jews have said, "cUzayr (i.e. Ezra) is the sonof Allah. "And the Nasara (i.e. the Christians) have said, Al-Masih (The Messiah) is the son of Allah." That is their saying with their mouths, conforming with the saying of the disbelievers earlier. Allah fights them! However are they diverged (into) falsehood? .
Now tell me if any of the translations contain profane or obscene statements about other religions...otherwise proof to me that it is blasphemous
...or do you consider any beliefs contrary to yours blasphemous?
Will you find any movie or cartoon that says That says and the muslims have said Allah is God" That is the saying with their mouths, they imitate those that believed. May God destroy the. it's make no difference if they write in a book, through cartoon or with a movie.
....Christians and Muslims have over the years held many beliefs that are contrary to each other.....and not many eyebrows have been raised because of thia......unless pushed beyond the tolerance of some(e.g intentionally putting mocking pictures of prophet in public places to incite violence and hate)
Allah decided to deride the belief of Christians through a book, if Christians decides to do deride Muhammad with cartoons in public places that's their choice.
..... and finally
almost all xtian know that muslims consider the son-ship and father-ship of Jesus and God blasphemous...and xtians dont seem to be disturbedby such opinions of muslims.....
.....and more blasphemous would be a picture depicting God carry his Son Jesus.......(of course it's logical to say a Father would one day carry his son)
.....and more blasphemous would be a video of God
You forgot that Christians have always believed that Jesus is son of God hundreds of years before muhammad showed up with Allah. Don't you think Allah and mo should've respected that belief? So what if those mocking your prophet are members of a new religion that believes allah and mo re false? Your religion started the blasphemy 1st.
.....so if u think our prophet is a superman of sex, a craddle-robber, a racist etc.....please keep it in your head or within the boundaries of your screen or book(i.e less expressive or more tolerable) rather than make it more explicit by making caricatures and videos of it in places as public as youtube and expects that it still be tolerable to most Muslims as it is the numerous profane statements of non-muslim Nairalanders about Islam.....
Lol, @ bold. Go and give Muhammad that same advice. If he thinks that Jesus or uzar of jews is not the son of god, he should please keep it in his head
But atlas the deed is done. So if christians or jews decides to return the favor, you don't reserve the right to tell them how to do it. What makes you think that if allah and mo has videos and cartoons during their days they won't use it?
And yes you muslims should tolerate the mockery just like christians and jews have tolerated the numerous profane states of allah like;
Quran 2:96 And verily you will find them (Jews) the greediest of mankind for life and (even greedier)than those who ascribe partners to Allah ( and do not believe in Resurrection-Majus,pagans and idolators).
