That is nigerians for you. What a complex enclave? From these reactions it will be extremely difficult for any leader to satisfy nigerians. Turtle is just an animal for human consumption but look the many comments for an animal. Well let us hope that one day we will reason and agree same way.

omenziate: Turtle wey some of the agberos and omo onile for dat pix don dilute with alomo and ogidiga. In its next life, make e carry GPS dey swim and avoid d shores of africa.

It actually has one, something must have gone wrong. It probably got tired or was sick. I think climate change is to blame, we may see more of these turtles on our beaches soon.

Please they should either let it go or take it to the oba's place and preserve it for tourism.
It makes more sense to allow the creature live in any case.

Where are Nigerian Professors of Zoology. This, in my opinion should either be allowed to return to its natural habitat or taken to a zoo only if they can adequately feed him. But this is Nigeria where even human beings can't adequately feed....

ehie: am sure it has been killed and eaten,
Nigerians are gluttons if na oyibo, they would keep it for research, but Nigerians will just eat it.

No need to keep it for research in Nigeria, because there are no equipments for the research so let them chop for those that go chop and let the tortoise conduct its own research for dem stomach
