@lease has anybody used Iberia airways from nigera to London before? Their fares is pretty cheap and I'll want to know if they are worth flying.

Yes, I have. I booked the summer flight for 'London-Lagos-London'. My observation; There were many 'stop-overs'... some of them unannounced! Southbound was 'London-Madrid-Lagos'. Northbound (Return) was Lagos-Abidjan-Teneriffe-Madrid-London. Both legs of the journey required new planes (probably a.k.a. local flights) from & to Madrid (Iberia was/is Spanish, hence the Madrid connection). The return leg experienced a long delay both at Teneriffe and Madrid. "Anything that is cheap is cheap for a reason". Summer flights are generally cheap and you must expect quite a few stop-overs! As for the hospitality on board, nothing to complain about. I must add that this journey happened some years ago, maybe things have changed. Please endeavour to find out the current situation. I flew to madrid from lagos last september with Iberia. although it was a small plane but the experience was nice at least.there were no entertainment system on board, but its a good value for your money due to their low fair.

I recommend you to give them a try, you wont regret it

i flew Iberia in June to America. My experience going was uneventful. The flight was small and their was a small central entertainment system on board. Coming back to Nigeria was horrible! The flight was delayed and it was a very tiny Airbus. As if that wasn't annoying enough; there were some really loud Calabar people on board screaming their conversation across the aisle in their language. It was absolutely annoying . Also the food took sooooooo long to come that I started daydreaming about my chocolates in my hand luggage. When it finally did, it was totally disgusting. The only great part about using the airline is that I didn't have to wait for my luggage for so long probably because it was a small plane.

Nothing has changed on Iberia. This is a terrible experience. Do not make the mistake of flying them to or from Lagos. The plane is tiny and struggled to make the distance, we could hear the engines fighting to keep the plane in the air. There is no entertainment whatsoever and the plane is full of market people screaming across the aisles at each other front and back of the plane and drinking alcohol as if it was a privately chartered plane with no consideration for other passengers. There is only one food choice, rice and chicken and its awful. We had a bumpy ride the entire flight going, turbulence was so bad food was not served for over 2 hours, we were starving. There are police waiting at the foot of the plane in Madrid and they lock you in before the flight and do a head count. This is 2013, must it really be so?
