 I guess you meant to use "AND" How on earth would one compare a PC with a phone? Will the Laptop replace your "Phone" or will the phone replace your "Laptop". |

The things that I think blackberry has that laptops doesn't have are portability and pinging..can you compare all other features of the PC with bold 5..you can do almost everything with a PC..you cannot even compare an iphone 5 with a PC...PC all the way joor  |

Microsoft Office, Pdf reader, Browsing, portablility, high camera quality etc are functions of Bold 5. You know which you chose over another is dependent on ur need(wat u want to do wit it). I wud go for laptop if i am into Computer IT programming etc, its all versatile. Laptop support vast software installation, etc. They all have their diff advantages over each other i think. MORE OPINIONS WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. |

The 9900 is a refresh of the Bold series of phones by RIM and combines touch and type with its 2.8-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen and QWERTY keypad. The Bold 9900 is the first device to feature the BlackBerry 7 operating system. The keys are slightly elevated to make typing easier. The navigation controls and the keys are back-illuminated to help you type in darker surroundings. Storage and Battery The onboard memory provided on the Bold 9900 is 8 GB. This can be further expanded up to 32 GB by inserting a microSD card. The handset is powered by a standard lithium-ion battery of 1230 mAh capacity. The phone battery serves a talk time of up to 6 hours in 2G and 5 hours in 3G networks. Connectivity and Features This BlackBerry Bold series mobile phone connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi and 3G. For file transfer, the phone is endowed with Bluetooth and USB functionalities. The Bold 4 9900 has Near Field Communication (NFC) support which allows for data exchange, accessory pairing, smart tag reading/ writing and transactions through your phone. i love my laptop but i would choose my phone over my laptop any day.i just cant live without my phone.so it depends on what you need it for. |

you ppl should abeg leave the guy. i understand what he mean. i dumped my laptop for my friends house for over 4months and cant say i missed so much. that cant be said of my phone. for me, a good smartphone comes 1st then laptop. i can do very many thing with my phone on d move with my phone; at d restaurant, library,kitching, toilet, etc. i meet my laptop at home when i might have replied almost all s msg's,mails or almost concluded task work for the day. i am always browsing anywhere, anytime, anyday: while working on the road, while on d bus, etc. i cant stay an hr wthout my phone but, i can stay i whole month without laptop. |

timbros: Hey Mr, I ian't here to argue with you either. I gave reasons for why i would choose a smartphone 1st over a laptop. Computer comes in different forms and palmtop (smartphone) is just one of them. Note the difference- palm and lap. Unfortunately, my LAP is not always available for TOP. In other to bring it down for your low IQ, CONVENIENCE is the word. I understand you carry your laptop to the toilet, restaurants and everywhere, anytime. But, I don't just do that. 1. I don't work in the office 2. I don't run on a friend and pull out laptop to take some shot. 3. I do not derive plasure carrying load arrond. 4. I cannot use my laptop a whole day without recharging. 5. I cannot do much with my laptop with just 260mb a month. 6. I cannot carry laptop arround (like you) without being called a mad man. |

DepeNds on the who here if its for someone who doesn't have much use for a laptop besides surfin the net then a dmart phone will be ideal and on the other hand for someone who is into say video editin and sort a laptop is first. I got 2 laptops before I got my first bb. |

- i hope you can moderate a forum with a Bold 5 - i hope you can design web apps with a Bold 5 - i hope you can use photoshop on a Bold 5 If you prefer a Bold5, it means you don't really do stuffs with a PC. If i don't touch my pc for just 1 day, i'll go broke. Maybe you should ask the NSE (National Stock Exchange) to trade all their computer systems for Bold5s Who knows, we can even trade stocks and process banking data on a Bold 5. Rubbish!!! |
