How did u get an excellent GPA?

GPA is one of d important elements that determines one's success in academics. Therefore, are u in the university or have u graduated? Express your opinion....what steps did u adopt in order to get an excellent GPA? In other words, what method do u use in ur academics that makes you successful? If possible tell us ur current GPA and your department.

This could even motivate newly admitted student to do well in the university

I made a 3.7 CGPA when I was graduating from Delta State. It was very poor at start with 3.05 in my first semester, 2.89 cumulative in 100level, I had one Carry-over and i was struggling reading harder than i used to. Following yr a had another carryover and in the second yr i wrote my 100level carryover yet failed it and eventually passed it in second semester yr 3. Steadily my GPA was growing. Until i had 4.05 in final year first semester but due to my poor start and sch sharing pattern, every settled at 3.7 as i graduated.
For those still in school, do not allow your current performance to pull you down beyond rising. If you had a 2.5 before while you read 3hrs a day, increase your reading to abt 4.5 hrs a day and you stand a chance of having up to 3.0 if not morethan in d next semester. Don't give up and never relax, try to be the best in all courses and hit those 3, 4, 5, 6unit courses hard and get projected. Goodluck

Presently in 400L,physics electronics. I started wit a cgpa of 3.85,a fair start though. I put in my best in every course,read like i'm about to write an exam that wil take me to heaven,grade C was neva my target,either A or B, and my 2nd year i neva had C below. I asked d "gurus" whenever i dnt get it. I made myself flexible and i dnt show off.i made my academics to b above my pleasure when it comes to priority. Dnt hate any lecturer or course content,just pretend u like it. Love your course of study else you will never enjoy it. And above all PRAYERS.After all these,i'm on 4.3

I'm also a Political Science and International Relations student. This is my second semester. I had a 4.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale(equivalent to a 5.0 in Nigeria). I read all my academic works daily, start strong(by doing well in quizzes and mid-term),attend almost all classes, participate in classes.
Thus, they really work 4 me

u can stil make do wit 2nd class upper wit diligence n confirm hardwork. Some tinz ar just nt posibu even if person mama b witch. I startd wit 4.41 n as much as i tried to get it, i ended up wit 3.98. Best of luck.

Perfect cgpa is easy...I made that even though I spent more time on my bed than I libraries...
