mkmyers45:The issue with too many memories is too many memories.. Like a hd filled to capacity, with a sizable amount of junk, you have to process more data, so imagine searching through the data. So does the regeneration address speed of thought? It should also ideally increase capacity. I'd be impressed if it does. |

wiegraf: There is something you are failing to understand....the Brain is limitless in capacity...its just that due to ageing, Body organs can no longer proper heal themselves so we have organ failure which is of course coupled by a lot of other factors...If all your organs are functioning at the right rate, why should you have problem walking, stretching, running, thinking etc 1 Like |

mkmyers45: That doesn't make it limitless. |

wiegraf: I know...we must die won't we? From our own illussioned view we view the brain as limitless and in a way we arent wrong are we? |

mkmyers45: Possibly, but the idea is to extend life, so will current capacity suffice? Also, what you are saying is that the neurons will be kept fresh and new, which is fine (expected really), but if they're going to be used more, due to extra data from a long life, will they be fast enough to deal with memories so that is slows down the perception of time? Else it could take one the whole morning to pick a tie, he'll just stay there reminiscing. You don't need to have alzhemers before this becomes a real problem. |

wiegraf: Well you have a point but if normal structural,Chemical,Neurophyschological and Genetic Changes that affect the brain on ageing are somewhat delayed then brain function can be maintained for long....The one problem is that its a research that needs time so we may have to run the experiment to see.. |
