I just got a stanbic ibtc invitation for an interview on Monday morning for the position of clearing officer.Pls who else got the msg or has attended any stanbic interview before?What do we expect and what is their grading nomenclature and pay?

Am expecting a call from them. How were you contacted please?

Grading Nomenclature is ABO-BO-SBO-AM-DM-M-SM ETC the pay for d first three grades are about as follows 2.2m-3m-4.5m so unless if ur pay is nt as high as that i would advise you to consider it well although you can come from anoda bank/org. and due to previous salary, you can be paid higher than these bands e.g a BO earning 5m cos three of you working together as BO's can earn different salaries.its very important you negotiate ur pay well cos stanbic takes full tax n doesn't dodge like other banks or organisations may do.people have joined only to get paid lower than their former salary even if gross pay became higher.hope ds suffices.lets know hw ur 1st bank journey goes on monday.

I jst finished my interview with stanbic.My God!Those guys were thorough.They spent like 1 hr with each one of us.It was a wonderful experience with seasoned bankers.
And we were informed we still have 2 stages to go.All of us were ex bankers(Inter majorly).
@daysanconsultin,I jst applied online in August,don't knw anybody dr.
I hope to be in FBN to resolve some issues 2moro,God help me!

Finally resolved with FBN and scheduled for an interview on friday.I learnt the interviews have started already with some pple scheduled for today,2moro and thurs.We will get their by GOD'S GRACE!

1. I can't remember the position i applied for. (I made about 3 different applications via Linkedin, deposited CV, and online- covering Risk Management and Relationship Banking)

2. I'm comfy on a job with FG already, just that it's not challenging and I miss banking (was in IB PLC). Hope they'll offer me a BO position and I'll deal.

Let's see how it goes.

Mine was for Ops but I gues going by what was asked you should expect the normal,Lets meet you,What drives you etc.in addition to technical questions in mktg like,explain each component of credit and how you would apply them to a prospect,How do you open a sales meeting and what is the most important thing in sales,how do you process APG,LC etc.Issues on target(ur cabal b4 u left) and what u can bring.
Should'nt be a big deal since u've had experience in relationship management.All the best bro

SHL format,graphs and tables then passages and tricky yes,no and not implied answers.It's not too difficult but be VERY careful before picking ur answers.I suspect it's -ve marking cos u'll be advised not to guess.

After my first interview and subsequent Computer Based Assessment, I got a mail today inviting me for another interview on the 6th of December for Team Lead (Sales) in their Head Office.
