I believe you have been advised properly. Chase them from all corners (left, right and centre) use twitter, blogs, Facebook, youtube, newspapers. Then finally take them to court, oga you go win, becuase they did not perform their own part of the contract. This nonsense must stop. Probable a precedent can be established from your case. Since MTN started this aeroplane promo, network has never been the same.
Re: Glo's All Expense Paid Trip To Manchester Scam by Nobody: 11:58pm On Oct 19, 2012
This is outrageous. Disgusting. Sad! The unfortunate thing is that Adenuga and his useless glo have bought up the conventional media, so don't expect any major newspaper, TV station, or radio station to carry this story. The advertisement revenues they gain from glo is more important to them than your battle cry for justice. The same also applies to the courts; you would be wasting your time if you think you can sue them successfully.

The only option left is to use the social media to give these bastarrds a bloody nose. It would help a great deal to batter their public image.

Nigeria is truly a hopeless society. No wonder nothing is ever fair here. Qualified people don't get contracts or jobs, retirees don't receive their gratuities/pensions unless they are 'connected' or willing to offer bribes, individuals and organisations gleefully fail to honour agreements with impunity, etc. Everything is just upside down and it's all a big jungle here where anything goes. It gets really depressing at times. It's impossible to be optimistic about this bleeped up country, unless one chooses to be deluded.

This kind of scam killed seven up in those days with their tricks to deceive people they lost relevance up till today. They try to re-brand but everything is just turning to koka kola. I think all these 419 network providers are treading in that path with their unrealistic promo

The truth of the matter is that in this country no one wants to play fair and since there is no law in place to checkmate these things, such people like Glo can get away with these crimes , But on the flip side people should stop spending money in trying to win one lottery or the other because these lotteries are one of the tricks of the super rich to milk the poor. If you dont believe me, do the maths!

I've always seen these Glo promos as scams. I remember when I was working in Diamond Bank, way back 2006,a junior colleague told me he was going to win one of the Honda Discussion continues being advertized in a promo and that his younger sister was going to win the trip to London. Three weeks later, the guy won the thing o! Next thing we knew, there was pressure on him to sell & "remit" returns and he was given just some few days to do so.I eventually got him a buyer in Abuja. He was shortly transferred to lagos and I didnt follow up to know if his sis eventually won the trip to London but next thing I heared was my guy resigned and moved to yankee.

Nathany: You can only imagine how the mobile telecoms operators are just extorting and defrauding Nigerians with there ill taught out promos and lottery. Just the other day one of them proposed to hand over an airplane to a randomly selected winner shocked what higher form of con-tricks are there.

Well you haven't seen it all trust me, as even our own indigenous operator, Globacom Nigeria pulled their own scam stunt on innocent victims/winners of there all expense paid trip to Manchester promo to watch man-u live at old-traford since last year September, imagine an ordinary trip to the uk for a few winners they cannot provide even with the enormous profit being skimmed out of the pockets of Nigerians, measuring into billions on dollars yearly. How much more the ones promising aeroplane to just a random customer mcheeewww angry .

Surprising but true, It happened with a Glo promo which i was confirmed winner of the trip to the United Kingdom, Scheduled for sometime before the Ending of Last year December 2011... and up till date i haven't seen any effort by Globacom to fulfill their pledge.

The presentation of my price winning as seen in the picture which is attached to this write up was televised by two TV stations NTA and Channels, during which i had an interview session with reporters from NTA telling Nigerians how true and real the promo was, and thanking them plentifully little did i know embarassed, as well as two other National Newspapers The punch and Guardian Newspapers a copy of the guardian newspaper which i have.

My efforts to reclaim my winning was to no avail as i kept calling the promo manager Mr Wole Bankole and he kept telling me month after month since October last year that the management was still sitting to decide on the matter, not until May this year that he finally opened up the true nature of what had transpired as false and in his words he said "They are not going to send me on any trip anymore and that i should go ahead and do my worst"
Since then i had sent a letter to them by a lawyer in Afe Babalola requesting specific performance, and copied the NCC they replied NCC saying that they were unable to procure entry visa, that i should go get a visa for my self then they might consider sending me on another trip.

Eventually after struggling with the intervention of NCC and the Ministry of justice Lagos with several meeting appointments many of which they did not show up at all as well as numerous letters, they came up with there silencer for me the noisy troublemaker, that i should take N200,000 and shut my mouth or else i go meet them in court.

You can only imagine how manipulative they are, after all the publicity they used me for, not even covering the amount i have spent so far in getting them to eventually talk, considering that i won the star price and even at the event, other consolation prices that were won included 1,000,000 for some other winners. Well they have good bases for the confidence in the multinational legal entity they must be parading, even resently i heard from someone his own story of the exact same thing that happened to him in this same glo promo scam in 2009 and he got away with nothing well he did not have sufficient evidence.

Is this how the trend should be allowed to continue in this country? should they be allowed to deal all sort of dubiously with Nigerians and get away with it as frequently as they want?
try and write to d regulatory authority.........National Lottery Regulatory Commission, merit house, maitama, abuja

Sue them in the UK. They have a business entity there. Also send a petition to Manchester United and UK authorities. They need to know a Nigerian business is using their brand to cheat their customers.

Don't give up. One man can make a difference.
Re: Glo's All Expense Paid Trip To Manchester Scam by Pain(m): 6:53am On Oct 20, 2012
I have always said it. The telecom coys in nija are all scammers. The only credible companies running any promotion are the alcoholic brewers. Nigerian breweries and guinness. They are socially responsible entities. U can verify from any lawyer or stock broker. The telcos are bandits and that is why they keep refusing to be listed on the stock exchange. For your info Mike Adenuga is an arrogant opportunist that has ran Glo to the bins. What u see as Glo is an empty shell in debt. Watch out for their certain demise. He has moved his fleece to Ghana. Sorry dear Ghanians. Its your turn now!

Please tell your sister to bring her case to the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. NCC is not mandated to look into these types of matters the NLRC has the power to enforce all provisions made by lottery organisers.

Let her come with all her supporting documents and we shall make sure her case is treated.
