I have noticed alot of this of present, i just want people's opinions on this issue.

I have noticed that there are so many people on say 'HI 5' who have pictures of their families, their kids and even their husbands / wives on the site.

Why do u think this is so and would u do it?

Some people are carefree.

They do not care if the whole world has assess to their personal pictures or vidoes.

But I cannot put my pictures on any website.

Anybody can abuse or misuse the pictures with photoshop.

Thats why a lot of nairalanders do not have their pix on their profile.

Well I don't see it as being carefree. Hi-5 n other social networking websites like facebook are meeting n interacting wit people from all over the world, sharing wit dem ur experiences joys n passions. The ones who put personal n family pixes do it to share their joy in family.
If some El-Sicko decides to deface the pix wit photoshop it becomes another matter. As u n I know the world is becoming a global village, El-Sickos coming out of the woodwork is part of the deal of globalisation.

Hi5 is a form of global webvideo/photo social networking website unlikely Nairaland. (Facebook, MySpace, and many other where it has capability of accessing with webvideo (webcam), audio, and photo to interact with their own friends, family, and whatever freely.

However, still Hi5, Facebook, MySpace have lot of spam, stalker, crazy, CyberLove, cyber-rape, goes on, just like Nairaland, no difference!  THEREFORE, THERE ARE NO SAFE INTERNET AT ALL globally!!

Oga o is 'na wa o' and oloshi jati jati - i honestly dont know its probably along the mad person line sha.


The thing is that even most people put the pictures of their weddings, christenings on the sites - i would never be that brave because u just dont know what people can do.
Especially when people have handsome or pretty wives, i see them flaunting their partners on the sites, i think to maself 'what the heck are they on'?

I believe those who put up pictures have convincing reasons to do so.These websites are refered to as social and networking sites hence they are meant for pure social interaction.Furthermore it's a lot easier using this medium to keep in touch and stay updated with familes & friends,however a good amount of people's intent is for the world to see how well they are doing.
The human instincts reacts impulsively out of trust and goodwill therefore will not reason otherwise why a fellow human would want to betray or violate this rule of thought.

Oh I just read that juicy part of your last post.Honestly thats very correct,I'm one of those kind of people.What we are on about? 1 of a million reasons: To show those who thought very little about you,you got it better than them.

They are just passing a message across, letting the world know where they belong.
