How Well Does Ur Pastor Resemble Christ Of The Bible by edekoln: 8:15pm On Nov 08, 2012
The reason these charlatans that call themselves pastor, rev. bishop are defrauding their members in the name of offering and tithing and various other scams is that the followers are so utterly ignorant of what the bible teaches. they don't read the bible to know what the bible says about every issue that concerns them the followers, the church owners and the life style that is expected of all of them. the followers just believe whatever the church owners tell them so long as the preachers tell them what they want to hear. miracles, promises of supernatural interventions that borders on the magical, to overcome financial challenges and every other problems they face in life, make them amenable to the deception of these 'holy' crooks. If people read the bible and take it as the word of God, they will see these so called men of God as the most crooked business men that they really are.

First of all, is it biblical for a person to own church? what is the name of the church established by Jesus and his Apostles. where is it written in the bible that the Apostles set up churches in their name as family businesses make their wives pastors rev, and archbishop and pass on the mantle of leadership to them when they die? If there is not, why are these men of God doing it now?

Secondly, Christians are suppose live the way Christ lived when he was on earth. he move from place to place preaching salvation. he lived a life of modesty and not one given to superfluity and flamboyance. he did not advertise miracles, he frowned at people buying and selling ( miracles, olive oil, candles, handkerchief, devotional books)in the church. these preachers are doing exactly the opposite of what Christ did when he was around. And they call themselves christian clergies? Christ will flog and drive them out when he enters the church for they do not look and behave like him at all.

If people read their bible especially the life of Christ and compare it with the life of their pastors they will discover they are dealing with antichrists, who is out to make themselves rich at the expense of their followers, and will not be fooled by their deceptions anymore. read ur bible and again I say read ur bible!

Again, lets look at another way these vicars of christ comport themselves to see if their behaviours reflect the kind of life christ lived and expects them to live also. It is a common knowledge that these men of God employ the services of body guards and policemen for their protection against real and inagined attacks. You see them moving in convoy with siren blaring and these policemen shooting sporadically into the air, striking fear into the heart of onlookers.

That kind of behaviour, is it one Jesus would approve of ? Is there any where in the bible, where Jesus or his disciples behaved in like manner that now form the basis of these men of God that have turned themselves into the god of men to misbehave like this? Jesus told his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations and that he would be with them always. So what are they afraid of? Does it mean that they are not making disciples and so God is not with them to protect them? Does it mean that they are doing their own business and so have to protect themselves against competitors? Or is it that they dont even believe ( what they tell their followers) that God is their sure protection? Or is it that they practise a form of christianity that does not have the power of God for protection? What is the difference between them and somebody who is using talisman, juju or jazz for protection? well, I leave you the reader to figure that out.

And I would like you to figure this out also: why are clergymen getting overly rich? Are there examples in the bible that justifies that trend? Dont get me wrong. I dont think there is anything wrong for anybody to get stupendously rich if he is able to add value to the lives of many people and gets paid for his products and/or services. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Invar Kamprad and a host of others are good examples and these people are businessmen. Any christian who God blesses with an idea that can add value to the lives of other people and work hard at it, could be as rich as those people or even richer.

Having said that, I want to draw the readers attention to the fact that when God call sombody to come and serve him as sherpherd of his people, He expects them to leave the business they were doing before. He does'nt call them into the ministry to start making merchandise of the word of God and become stinkinly rich thereby. Their only business is to help people to seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness first, then the additional benefits following. But it appears that what they doing now is selling these adittional benefits to their naive followers and making themselves astoundingly rich at their expense. Examples of those who God called as priest, prophets, apostles, pastors etc. are many in the bible. Let us see if they are following these examples:

Moses was a shephard when God called him to lead His people to the promise land. He never went back to sheparding again or entered any other business . It was not written anywhere that he was a business tycoon and was mega rich. He kept doing what God called him to do until the day he died. His wife or his son did not succeed him.

Aaron and his descendants were called to be priests. They were priest till the day they died and never do any other business. they lived in the house of God and never built a palace for themselves from the procceeds of tithes and offering to live in. It is not recorded in the bible that they were so rich that they acquired for themselves the chiocest land; a collection of golden chariots from Egypt, Babylon and Assyria; Exotic pleasure boats from Tyre and Tarshish. They were priests and led lives becoming of their priesthood

Elisha was a farmer before God called him to be a prophet. He killed the oxen he used for ploughing the ground to prepare food for his friends and family and then follow Elijah. He never came back to farming again or go into any other trade for that matter. He even rejected tainted gifts from some people. He weilds an uncommon power which those who concern themselves with wealth and riches gospel can never sniff. No where is it written that he was mega rich.

Most of the apostles of Christ were fishermen before Jesus called them. Matthew was a tax collector. They never went back to their previous trade or did side business as they followed Jesus. The gospels did not say they become super rich as a result of follwing Jesus. And there is no where in the bible they flaunt their wealth and threw modesty to the winds. Peter and John had no money but they had the power of God and so could make a well-known cripple walk. They displayed the power of God out of compassion in the streets, not inside the churches, in books or on TV, as we see this days, where miracles are stage managed and advertised to attract more customers (tithe payers).

The apostle Paul was a Pharisee, a legal luminary, a Jewish zealot and religious fanatic. When God called him, he became a different person. The pomp and pageantry that characterises the life of today's pastors is alien to the way he lived and conducted his life as a christian. His philosophy in life seems to be 'Godliness with contentment is great gain'. He wasn't super rich. He estalished many churches and never own any. He did not even so much depend on the church for his upkeep. Whenever a collection was made in any church, it is to meet the needs of other christians elswhere who are in dire need and not for himself.

The kind of gospel our today's preachers are preaching and their attendant lifestyle , is it the same gospel with the one that was once delivered to the saints? Or is it another kind of gospel? You will never know as long as you dont ask questions. As long as you are always satisfied with what you are told, the answer will always elude you and will never know that the one who you trust to instruct and direct you on the right path to God's kingdom actually sees you as a vehicle to his financial freedom, economic power, political relevance and his ecclesiastical and business empire.

In as much as they claim that the bible is the source of their authority, then let everybody who claim to be a christian read the bible and xray the lives of the old testament priests and prophets, the life of Christ and his Apostles and juxtapose it with the way of life of today's pastors and see if their life of insatiable greed, patent ostentation and brazen materialism can be justified by the values, principles, beliefs, attributes and the way of life exemplfied by those bible personalities.

Obviusly, they are preaching a different gospel from the one forshadowed by Moses, Aaron, and Elisha; fufilled, lived and preached by Jesus and delivered to the Apostles. They are preaching the gospel of MAMMON. They cared not about your soul one bit. They only care about your tithes and offerings, special offering, first fruits. sacrifcial offering. They only care about you sowing a fat seed into their lives. That is all there is about to it. Your pastor, you and your money!

If you read the bible and know how God expects priests and prophets, pastors and reverends, bishops and archbishops to conduct their lives as men of God, you will never fall into the fraudulent schemes of any swindler decorated with multiples of such titles
