Aftermath of Super Tuesday: How About Clinton/Obama Ticket? by spora(m): 8:27am On Feb 07, 2008
The event of Super Tuesday has certainly proofed bookmakers wrong about the chances of Barrack Obama making it to the White House come November. Even the Obama camp, not so sure, warned some days before Super Tuesday that the opponent was so mighty that Obama might have a tough time winning a single contest outside of his home state of Illinois.

After Obama's 13 states wins (838 delegates) on Super Tuesday, compared to Hillary Clinton's 8 with 834 votes (with New Mexico still too close to call, as at the time (08:25am Nigerian time) of typing this, the end seems very far. Though Senator Obama is becoming more popular by the day, I see winning 2,025 votes a herculean task for either of the frontrunners.

I am also of the opinion that should any of these candidates pick the ticket, is there any assurance that the other camp will still be loyal to the party? Can any of the candidates face Senator John McCain alone without the support of the other?

While it is my dream to see the first black American president or the first Her Excellency, President of the United States, can any of the camp do it all alone?

How then about Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket (one as Pres and the other, VP)?. I think they need one another at this time, in order to form a formidable team to challenge the Republican party.

What do you think?

If Obama wins the ticket, I think he'll be reluctant to pick Hilary as his running mate; He'd like to think he has come from behind against Hilary who he'll perceive had internal political structures already in place courtesy of her husband,

If Hilary wins, an Hilary/ obama ticket 'll be possible as i think she'll be under pressure from party to pick him for growing popularity and 2 maybe drag in the african american votes

I doubt if Obama might take the VP ticket.

Whoever wins will pick the other

Obama is very shrewd, he will pick Hillary as VP or accept VP from Hillary

It looks like John Edwards has settled for Attorney general.

A pairing of both of them and a stump speech from Obama is the quickest way to unite the party.

Pick Hillary as VP? So she can use all that time to plan to unseat mr. President after 4yrs? no way.

Obama will likely pick Edwards.
