Thank You Starcomms For This Free Two Weeks Access (Easter Bonus)

Starcomms sent a message to my inbox last week that, all their regular customers would enjoy two weeks of FREE internet access 24/7, as a form of Easter compensation or motivation.

That is equivalent of about =N=7,500.00 This is not the first or second time they would be giving this kind of generous offer.

Tell me: Has your ISP given (or is giving) this type of bonus within the last one year?

Considering how ridiculously slow the bandwidth on the Starcomms network is, it would have been better if they used the money throwing during this 2 week period to purchase additional bandwidth (from NITEL's SAT-3 cable?) to make their network more tolerable. People who are doing serious online and are willing to pay to be online will be frustrated during this period as their browsing speed slows to a crawl.

They may not be as fast as what I am used to at work, but I still commend their performance. They are better than other networks around. With their dedication to service, I believe they have plans of increasing their bandwidth. Their performance in Port Harcourt is above 60%

Nwoke's comment is on the harsh side, that's if he's really a customer of Starcomms. If he isn't, then I understand where he's coming from.

I would have totally agreed with your submission if it was made between August and November of last year, but Starcomms services are better this year, I give trhem 90% performance. You can sample opinions of Starcomms customers to confirm my rating. In fact Rottweiler from far away Port-Harcourt is coming out to defend them, Starcomms is getting better and better.

I used to work in an ISP and based on what i know about bandwidths it all depends on what time of the day you logged in because this will determine the traffic at that time of the day.Aside from this ,you are using a dial up connection which of course will not give u the kind of speed you will normally get from using a dish because is shared.

I can say this for Starcomms, they have only just started and can be considered better than most existing ISPs and ASPs in the business.

Now, the experts are talking and I have nothing else to add. I rather expect Seun to appreciate that Starcomms is not "eating with ten fingers". It is good to give back a little out of what you are making to the society. It is not a waste or "money throwing" as Seun portrayed.

I think it's better than MTN who gives nothing than flashing text.
