Well, it is said he has a purpose for everyone of us and we just need to know what his plans are n walk accordingly. Personally i didn't work mine; and trust me i was posted to somewhere i originally never would have wanted to stay. But i prayed and asked him to help me learn somethin new- he did that for me. I had a wonderful Christian family and people who loved me dearly, wouldn't trade that for anything.
Then again, he has also said that he will make us prosper in the work of our hands.
So basically, if there's somewhere you wanna be, then go and pray to God that his helps you prosper; i you decide to believe that he has a purpose for u and trust in him to take d lead, then so be it.
Either way, your faith will make a way.

Just my opinion.

What's really important in the life of every Christian is to know God's Will at all times. He has said his thoughts are higher than ours and so is his ways (Isaiah 55:....and that for all man there is a purpose.
Now all I'm saying is that if ur spirit is in sync wit d Spirit of God who knows the mind of God, then we are less likely to run off chasing our own dreams. But if we keep pushing to one direction even when he's leading us to another, then obviously he'll let us go, but one thing we have is the assurance of his word.... D same word exalted above his name. The one thing we know he can never take back. Pray in accordance to his word, and believe in it...i believe he'll hear.
