Foremost Economist and Nobel Prize winner Mohammed Yunus has this to say on unemployment.


"Why do we accept the idea of
unemployment? For thousands of
years, all humans were
productive without having to be
hired by anyone for that. And
suddenly, two hundred years
ago, we started believing that we
need to be hired by someone to
produce or to be considered
productive. This is wrong, and
does not do well to people or to
society. We have to stop
accepting the idea of
unemployment, and make clear
that everyone can be productive."

How far ago in history is he talking about?are soldiers not employees?being an entrepreneur is good but we can't all be one all at once,at times to become one ,one would've to be an employee or apprentice at a stage to someone else. In igboland we call it ''nwa boy"

He's bringing in class room theory into real life situation.
Some of the problems we have in this country and the world are the experts. One has to be very careful when listening to these so called experts. Their theories could be misleading.

@vislabraye. He's so ONpoint.. I think his theory is so true. In the real sense there's no one unemployed, because you can actually make the best of your time, if you are really focused. There's always that something that can put food on your table if you use your head. You just have to think, your ideas could be your greatest investment in this century as it is now

The truth is that no one is truly unemployed in the real sense. Society has infected us with a dogma that only projects employment as being an employee in an office setting. That's what's expected of you especially as a university graduate anyway.

Given that Society influences us greatly, it's kinda hard to agree with statement nevertheless it is true.
