@reliableGod. It happens, but what you need to first ask urself is 'why?'
Why do u feel the need to stay home? Are u perhaps afraid of being seen by the wrong people?
Is it that u are shy of the changes taking place in ur body?
Are u usually ill and do not wish to be a nuisance?
Do u feel that u will not find people in similar situations in these gatherings?
I used to not want to visit people cos I didn't want people to see my bump. Cos even wit belle some people still dey ask 'how many children do u have now?'
Someone told my colleague 'belle no fit u o! See how u no get swag again'. After e say na play..whic kin expensive joke be dat?Na to reject that one immediately!
Or are u plain tired and just wish to curl up on a couch all day.

You have to identify the real reason u don't wanna go out with Dh and see if it can be addressed. Talk to DH about ur fears if that's what it is. He is in the with u and deserves to know what ur reservations are.
But pls don't let d bumb affect ur relationship with hubby so that he doesn't entertain any resentment especially after LO arrives.
Try to work up some energy to go out with him sometimes so that when u can't, he'll understand.
There are husbands that won't want to be seen in public with their pregnant wives....atleast he isn't that type.

prettymomma, nice to hear from u and to know you are doing just fine, its been a while and I've been thinking about you and also praying for u. I have not been online much myself but come in to read once in a while. am doing fine and God is just good to me. will share my testimony soon by the grace of God.

@reliableGod. Awwwww....if ur bump isn't showing den its okay to curl up jare. You don't need much stress so early in the pregnancy. Besides, its better to stay for house sometimes. Me I find excuse for dh tire...till I had to tell him that I didn't want too many 'friends' to see me in the early stages of my pregnancy cos I don't know who doesn't like me.
Even his closest friend place no bin dey hungry me to go. Cos other people may be there and....well person no fit know another person finish!(Yup! I was a bit paranoid in my first tri!)

But since I didn't experience morning sickness, I couldn't plead ill health. So na so so code I dey code my belle with big clothes!

Now that my bump is out there, we keep getting 'where all dis plenty belle come from sef'cos people didn't see me much. lol!

Don't worry, am sure you will regain ur energy soon. You can try talking to dh bout it tho...if he understands, he'll also want u to stay back and will be the one making the excuses for you.

Sometimes I ask myself how I wuld hve done it if I was carryin twins or triplets cos my sister somedays I can barely even get out of bed or do anything. But The Lord is ur strength, he never gives us more dan we can handle. How many weeks are u now? I think we got pregnant around the same time.

@reliableGod, I think I knw dat feeling. But done let it affect your relationship wit DH. Just do wat you can and God will do the rest. There are days I want to stay home n chill without any disturbance but I jst make an effort to go out if it's important and there's no reason to hide. It is Well!!!

@Ipio, my dear ur constantly in my prayers. Just keep believing and thanking God for those children. He who has done it for us will definitely do it for you as well.

As for me, am jst counting dwn oo. Will be 37 weeks on Thursday and I honestly can't wait cos then am considered full term. So this princess of mine can decide to show up any day after that even tho I pray she waits till next week for her debut cos that wen DH gets here.
Am not fully ready too, I jst did her laundry sme days ago and I still have not set up her bassinet or even installed her car seat into car, so if she shows up now am in trouble.

Hello everyone,ve been silent cos ve been doing exams.Just got thru with it yesterday.It's been quite hectic and stressful but to God be the glory.
Am now going to 30weeks,God,am so happy it's getting closer.Can't wait to meet my baby.We've not been able to identify sex yet,cos,d last scan I did,d baby just crossed legs n refused to open up,Lol.Will ve anoda one done soon.My back and legs are the ones showing me now but it's all manageable.I sleep more now like a drunk too.Apart from that,nothing than the lovely rigorous movements,always active.
How's everyone else?Hw,believer,pinky,prettymama,etc?Trust u're all doing great?The Lord will continually be ur strength n c u thru,Amen!

@Prettymomma and Hebrew woman thank you for ur advice i beleieve is because i have serious morning sickness and am so so so slim now cos was weighing 80kg but now 60 due to d sickness so am tried of families and friends asking what happened to u and some gussing and to worsen it i spit alot so people are begining to add one and two together. but i beleive everything will pass with dis first trimster by God's grace. at everyone safe delivery and dose in d waiting room u will share your testimonies as we step into d next quarter of this year in Jesus name (Amen). Wow, so am 37 weeks today. After two miscarriages I remember wondering if this day will ever come. I remember both miscarriages like they happened yestrday, and now am carrying my daughter and am full term...isn't God wonderful? I have never been happier in my life, I have never been more thankful and grateful to God for the opportunity to even experience this feeling. It hasn't been easy but it has been worth every second of it.
I thank you Lord for blessing me beyond my wildest imaginations, I thank you for forgiving me for those days when I cried like I had no hope, for those days wen i felt like i culdnt go on anymre, I thank you for granting my heart desire to become a mother and I thank you for giving me the best husband ever, I culdnt hve asked for a better man.
I promise to raise this child you hve gven me to love you, to know you and to worship you everyday of her life. My heart is so full of gratitude and I cannot thank you enuf.

My prayer is that is blessing wil go round, oh Lord let evry woman experience this feeling of being pregnant, let evry woman experience the joy that comes with knowing ur bringing a life into this world....thank you father for answered prayers!!!

I am so so happy to find a thread like this on Nairaland, I have been ttc for exactly 3 years now. Believe me honestly I have been on this journey alone, when I say alone I mean there are no persons practically experiencing same thing with me around me. Which usually makes me sad, hubby seems not to be bothered, since the main issues are frm me had a high prolactin, did a myomectomy already,done all the other fertility test.

I was almost given up, cos it looks as if its not just going to happen for me, I had prayed n fasted, I am even beginning to feel ashamed when I see my pastors or people that had one time or the other prayed for nd with me. I had already given my hubby an option of adoption,but he said No.

I was really depressed wen I saw my flow again, I couldn't pray nd felt so rejected nd alone, when I saw mamatriplet's post on the front page, I was a bit happy but something says to me why take anything on nairaland serious. My mind would not just leave that post, I went to the health section and ALAS!!! I realised that so many pple have gone ahead of me in this journey, and lots are also on the same lane with me.

My hope and faith in God is stronger now, I know for sure that He will answer me and others soon.

To all our seniors in the school, I say welldone MAs.

All the days of my appointed time will I wait until my change comes.

@gospelgirl, wateve u do, do not give up. We've all been ther my sister and we knw God always surprises us. So many of us got pregnant wen we least expected but giving up isn't an option my dear.
All you have to do is make sure u take care of your body, Am glad ur hubby is understanding. You mentioned you have high prolactin level, have u treated that already? And also all your other fertility tests, were the results normal?
If so then dnt wry, keep believing God. It's darkest jst b4 dawn and we knw the Gid we serve, he is the God of impossibilities and he has never failed.
