I recently had a new car registered at the MVAA office in VI (through a friend) but only to discover an error in the chassis and engine number on the registration documents I got, please advise me on what steps to take to rectify these errors...

Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks a lot, I actually wrote all required info myself and I think its an error from the staffs (my guess) since the error is a typo, the digit '1' was replaced with the letter 'I' and the letter 'Z' was replaced with digit '2' and letter T was replaced with another I for the engine number and yes my handwriting is very very legible (my most priced academic prowess, infact)

Your buddy that help you with the papers would have to fill out the required forms at the licensing office, sure that was where the inputs changed.
Visit there office to rectify this, driving your vehicle with those papers won't leave a good taste after an encounter with our brothers in all black.

Thanks once again, I've had him go fill the said forms for correction. I try to avoid arguments with our brothers in black, so I will get the papers corrected. Thanks again for your time.
