I just observed each time I make call with my GALAXY S II the screen would suddenly go off,normally one is expected to press some things on the screen while you make call like speaker.But now I can't do that anymore,the screen go blank completely leaving the phone still on.

This could be caused by an app trolling your battery like Viber or something... Also, might be that your battery is bad and u need a replacement. Check battery usage and post a screenshot, if you are rooted, check with BetterBatteryStats (BBS).



Using a custom ROM? Sounds like a bug. Try to upgrade to the latest stock ROM.

it's meant to be like that when you place it on your ear cause of the accelerometer sensor. ..but those the screen still remain blank when u place it away from your ear?

Everything is completely integrated so you have to change the full LCD assembly, that is the consequence of having a slim phone.
