Sex is a huge part of a man's life when he's a bachelor, but it can abruptly vanish when he enters the stable comfort of "settling down." According to a recent study, 40 million people are in sexless marriages -- sexless in the sense that the couples in question have sex less than 10 times a year (yikes!). The individuals that were polled offered a range of reasons as to why they were not having sex: Some cited busy lives that didn't allow time for it, others pointed to medications that affected their libidos, while others came up with the lamer reasoning that the bed wasn't sexy anymore (not necessarily because of an absence of satin sheets, but because couples often watched TV or brought their laptops or PDAs into the bedroom).

But one nagging question looms: Does a marriage need sex?

the only reason am posting here is b/c of the headline, can't bother reading all what you posted. but if you dnt mind me asking, what is the of a marriage without sexual interaction? yes, there's love, and caring, and blah blah blah, but a marriage without sex ain't gonna last long.

Sexless marriage sometimes is caused by the inexperience of one partner or the other.
That's where I do disagree with the bible section that preaches against sex before marriage.
Me personally will test the engine am going to have forever to be sure of it's funtion since I know am not going to

NO, I am not in a sexless marriage. One thing that keeps marriages going is sex,so if that is ruled out,then there'll be one big fire on the mountain. It's a different thing if the union is sexless for a good reason eg one half is ill, or is not just disposed to have sex at a given period. But for the marriage to be enitirely sexless?

I know that is a ground for divorce. So the couple may agree not to have sex,but in the end they are either cheating on each other,or doing it unnaturally.

We have many sexless marriages around. One sure thing is tha it puts a great deal of stress on the marriage. And it takes the grace of God, Wisdom, and patient for the marriage to survive. And even at that, the 'denied' partner must be relieving the stress somehow-either unnaturally or having a string of affairs/flings. Even if he used to be an angel b4 marriage. U can confirm from experienced people and dat's if they will be sincere enough.
But the couple can sincerely work at it.
