Hello everyone;geeks,techies,nerds,whizzes and gurus...i need ur help...i love playing games..it helps me unwind,atimes relaxes my nerves and gives me something to do when bored..played many games that i cannot even remember but games like GTA san andreas,vice city,liberty city(chinatown wars),mafia 1,wolfenstein all remain fresh in my memory cos i finished them all,yeah i did..completed my university education like 2 months ago and waitting for my course of action but its been boring apart from my PPs(Architecture) and little stuffs here and there..its been boring so i decided to play games cos is part of the things i like doing..currently i have games like mafia 2,GTA IV,saints row,sleeping dogs,LA Noire on my system but due to my system configurations these ones wont play...my system is kinda low on graphics card(mobile chipet family not nvidia or ati radeon) but i have played the afore mentioned games and they all worked perfectly..recently i got to know about this game called scarface and i downloaded it..but its been giving me problems running it..it has graphics glitches..i have googled it and came across suggestions like msconfig tweak,patches,dxwnd-ms tweak,3d ripper dx tweak and such likes..but they havent helped issues..i dont know if anyone is familiar with this game..the game is old and i have played games with higher graphics requirement and they all worked perfectly.i dont know if anyone is familiar with this same game and can help me with it..cos..i must confess..its been to annoy me...btw...i am a very serious minded person and not a game freak but i love playing games but not at the detriment of my personal work( for all those who will sound blamey)..so please i will really appreciate everyhelp giving to me and every suggestion made just to solve this liitle issue thanks...BTW..i use an acer emachine laptop 4g ram,250gb harddisk,intel dual core 2.10ghz x2,windows 7 ultimate..thanks

@Ogtavia, PC game is one of my hobbies and i love it so much and many people love it too.
Now to your question; in as much as you can run other high graphic games successfully on your laptop, that‘s an evidence that your VGA drivers are installed and there is nothing wrong with your system graphics. Probably the game isn‘t compatible with your VGA drivers.

Dude,a 4gb ram isn't enuff to play scarface. D game uses upto 8gb of ur systems ROM...u either clear your ram or get a new pc with bigger ram.also make sure u close every other running program.FYI..I'v playd dat game n it's awesome.

Ok....thanks fellas...btw....liberty300...u say u've played it before...ON WHAT OS did u run it on and how?...yeah i av been considering getting a new pc...an immobile workstation to be cos of my work....and also play...been thinking of cloning a double monitor high configuration computer system..thanks for the help guys...

I played it a couple of years ago on my 2.2ghz core2duo,3gb ram ,intel x4500 graphics laptop...it was on xp and it was flawless .
when I installed windows 7 on that same laptop, but it played with some blank graphics glitch,google gave solutions like enabling one of the two processors on msconfig..none worked for me,and I had to stick with xp till I finished scarface
On getting another laptop an ASus k53e 2.0 ghz 2630qm quad core ,6gb ram nvidia gt620 windows 7 pro 64bit.
This game still refused to play until I enabled only one of the 8 processors (actually 8 threads ,but reads 8 processors ) on windows 7 and 8..

Anytime I want to launch scarface,I set it on one processor and reboot .and it plays....hope it works for you.

''one of its 8 processors''...thats one hell of a geeky pc...well i think the major problm of the game is the OS bug,its runs well on XP......btw...how rugged and reliable is an Asus laptop,and is it a good substitute for an alienware or dell xps laptop....?

dude its not ur computers fault, nd pls there is no game in the world yet dat needs up to 8gb ram so please dont give wrong info. Games only take advantage of extra ram if u have it, even 2013 games dont need more dan 4gb nd a nice swap file, what all games really need is a powerful processor, dedicated video memory nd registered graphic chipsets. what ur having is a typical windows 7 issue, i've had several games iv had to part with simply because they cant recognise ur recent graphics card properly or aren't 64 bit compatible causing glitches everywhere, search for official scarface patches on the internet nd see if they address ur issue, else u will need to play on a lower spec pc with windows xp, or use virtual box, install xp on it, install d game, nd play from there, the single core fix should also help
