Advice To Fresh Graduates by comsoy(m): 4:27am On Dec 21, 2012
Hi guys, I've surveyed NL and have gone through different rich and invaluable suggestions, helps, advice given out freely by well-meaning Nairalanders, especially to job seekers. For this reason, I think that much more could equally be given to fresh, recent graduates most of whom the stark reality of the labour market still eludes. Pieces of advice on how to write CVs, dos and don'ts that help in securing good jobs, job interview, job sites and other relevant info as required by a fresh graduate will be welcomed. Thanks.

May I begin by, first and foremost, saying THANK YOU to all those who visited this thread, even though no comment was made. This thread was indeed created with the genuine idea that fresh graduates might be helped with some sense of direction as well as a slice of motivation as might be rendered by their experienced counterparts - those already employed, for example.
Of utmost concern here are the numerous challenges faced by fresh graduates, most of which arise as a result of desperation for jobs,

the strong need to shoulder responsibilies, the need to meet expectations, and of course complexities issues. All of these and more (you would agree with me) are capable of weighing down the 'graduatehood' in a graduate except he or she heeds the good pieces of advice from sincere and experienced graduates.
Of course there might be doubts as to the impact of your contributions. But one thing is sure: 'Whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom shall see it.' In other words, no matter how little

Thanks, man, for this beautiful advice. It should serve as a guide with regard to what to expect during service years. Thanks a lot.

@bizzle, I noticed, from your comments, that you're done with NYSC, which means (if my guess is right) you're either working presently or still seeking employment. Whichever you fall in these categories, would you be kind enough as to share your experience with us? Thanks anyway.
