Plz gurus in d house, hw do I stop whatapps frm deductin my credit. Am usin it on my BB Bold 2 wit BIS runnin in it bt it takes my credit instead. I sincerely need help

Send DATA OFF to 131 if you r on mtn

I don't think what's app is a BIS application, it uses data and when no data is found, then it deducts you credit.

Its MTN BIS and d phone is BB Bold 2.
plz I need solution.
@haibe, it makes use of BIS. during installation, it bings up info saying dt d app runs wit BIS, bt on Data is BIS is nt runnin. I do nt knw y mine is diff. My friends own is nt takin panny off his credit.

Just like femi4. text DATA OFF to 131 may be the only option out for now.

you hv tampered with the connection settings of your bb.
Check that you set permissions to "Allow"
Also, did mtn reply your message?

Yes, MTN replied my msg, its frm d reply dt I learnt hw to enable my data connections.
Abt settin permission to ALLOW, do nt knw where and hw to go abt it.

Go to Option>>Device>>App management, then scroll to any app that is not working e.g whatsapp and edit permission. Set permission to default settings or allow

Also, Option>>Network and Connection>>Mobile Network
Ensure data services is ON

You r not expected to turn data off manually cos the message from mtn should be like the message below:

Y'ello! Your data services have been successfully deactivated. To turn on data services, text DATA ON to 131 for free.

Ensure data services is ON
As u recommended, I changed it to ''Default'' cus it was on ''Allow''
Will then watch it in d morning to knw if it has stopped sippin off my credit.
Secondly, my Data Services av been ON.
