To start with, if you know the true meaning of tourism you wouldn't be complaining like this. Tell me what tourism is without pretty women/sexx? Why do most European tourists go to Thailand Why is Kenya almost the tourism capital of Africa? Go to Kenya and see things for yourself. Even nationals of Tanzania, Uganda, Nigerian, Ghana etc flood to Kenya to cash in on that sex tourism industry...

I am not doubting the possible availability of whoores during calabar carnival, but thats part of the tourism industry. If you dont like that part just close your eyes and remain in your bushy village. As for me and my friends this carnival is awesome i wish other state governors will create money spinners like this. Whatever amount the state governor is spending for this they will recoup it 10 times. And believe me this carnival is becoming more and more popular with each passing day. Many Nigerians flew in from as far as Australia just to witness this. Mind you, without those pretty girls this carnival nor go sweet like this. UWA WO OTU MBIA

The Cross River State purchased three million (3 million) condoms in preparation for the Calabar carnival this December.

The Director-General of the company, Dr. Irene Aniyom informed the News Agency of Nigeria at the carnival village in Calabar on Sunday that the decision to buy the condoms, is to enhance the understanding on HIV and to also reduce the occurrence of the virus adding that 244,106 persons in the state were living with the HIV and AIDS.
