I posted step by step guide on how to do it but your moderators here hid my posts.

If they will allow this to stay, the summary (without step by step) is that you can activate the card by simply using the UBA ATM and use the PIN they gave you in the bank to select the option "Change PIN" on ATM. After that, the card becomes automatically activated for use both online and offline.

You can load cash to it online if you also subscribe to the UBA internet banking (Udirect). That allows transfer of money from one account to others like transferring from another account to the account that your Mastercard is linked to. Then the money will be there. Which also means you can transfer from another banking via internet (e.g GTB) to your UBA account to which the mastercard is linked.

Addition to that is if you subscribe to their UBA mobile banking (Umobile) powered by eTranzact. This allows you to transfer money between UBA accounts and cards (prepaid or debit cards) especially if your version of the Umobile is java phone and not the feature limited android phone version.

you do not have to subscribe to uba internet banking first if the source of the money you are transrferring on net is not uba itself.

unlike uba visa africard that has separate special account that you can only load/fund in the bank branch, uba mastercard is linked to your regular uba account. and so any fund you transfer by whatever method on net or in bank to the very account the card is linked to will appear in the card as available to you for use.

as per withdrawal from websites to card directly, it is generally not supported by mastercard but only visa card usually.
