This thread is intended to alert Seun and niralanders who may find it reasonable.
Everyday jobs are posted on nairaland in the job/vacancy section, career and also the business section. Of course many of these job postings are scam. However, we have some which are genuine. For example job posting from the federal government, ministries and other agency of the government. Others also include jobs from the military and the paramilitary, Banking sectors, and so on.. Now, one begins to wonder what the work of the admin is, that the scam job postings are allowed to remain on each of these sections.
I would however like to make this recommendation to Seun to allow genuine job posting make the front page where everyone can easily access even at a glance on the site. Many stories make the front page which are just not worth it. Such stories can be replaced with genuine job postings.

The mods don't put threads on the frontpage, the supermods do. We recommend topics for frontpage and the supermods can decide to put on the frontpage or not. We've recommended several job vacancies in the past and not all of them made frontpage.

However we'll be more persuasive in ensuring our recommendations are granted, esp as regards job vacancies. Thank God the admin is here, I hope to get his blessings in this regard.

Furthermore we are also going to create a special thread where all genuine job vacancies will be posted by the mods only. It'll contain links to genuine job threads created on NL and It'll be called JOB LIBRARY or something close to that, I and 1forall still need to finalise on that. The thread will be stickied on the Jobs Section for all to see.

We are open to more recommendations and suggestions. Thanks once more. Kind regards.

Dear Obinoscopy, thanks for your initiative. To shed more light on the issue, every moderator is expected to submit a thread from his section for home page consideration every day. We have two moderators in this section, so you can expect at least 2 threads from the job section on the home page every day.

If you've been reading the frontpages of late you will observe that several vacancies have made it there.
