There is an ongoing petition to help Nigerian children who have been labelled witches by false Nigerian pastors who generally falsely call children witches in order to extort money from their parents. The petition is at :

Many of the kids have been subjected to horrific abuse because of these false accusations, so Nairalanders please help to bring their case to the attention of the state governor by signing the petition.

Goodness me. Don't you understand sarcasm?

I  think that we should really focus on the fact that these are young Nigerians who have been maltreated in totally horrific fashion because people who wanted to make money told the kids parents that their kids are witches and that they should cough out some money for deliverance. Unfortunately many of the kids have been killed and tortured because of these false accusations.

There is a video about it  on Youtube. I do hope that Nairalanders  ,irrespective of their religion will spare a minute or two to sign the petition after all the kids are our brothers and sisters.

Its becoming so rmpant all over. There is this my small niece I really love, now she has been labeled a child witch. I have been raking for my family memberas, as educatted as ost of them are, they believe that these child is responsible for some of the things happening in the family. I told them to show me a rich persons child that has bn labeled a child itch and i will believe. when things go wrong for people they look for a poor child who is a bit sturborn and blame it on him/ her. In the case of my neice, they are blaming her for some woes that are happening on her mothers side and all these events occured as a result of some bad choices made by the adults, they took the small girl to one village, tied her for days and said she confessed to being responsible, wwho would not confess to murder after being tied for seven days without water.
I just got to hear of this last week and I have sworn to report them all to NAPTHIP
