We are loking for an exceptional math teacher who can teach an art student that hates mathematics, and get him to love maths. Someone who is patient, and can really appreciate that some brains are not wired to be good with figures. A teacher who has some art inclinations, and can tell good stories to illustrate mathematical concepts, draw, or sing or use unorthodox methods to make complex subjects easy. I saw your advert on nairaland with respect with to the maths teacher with unique abilities. I herby wish to indicate my interest in the job as I can offer u all u require.
I read software development which underlines my penchant for mathematics and it’s related fields.
My art-related skills have seen me contributing to Hints magazine in” the wages of Evil”: a novelette with moral lessons( published 2002). I have also authored a Maths booklet: Salient Points on Utme/ssce Maths which lends colour to my writing and drawing skills( I drew a full cartoon page intended to awaken the interest of the student in the subject matter). The booklet which I intend to augment and re-launch as a textbook latter this year has been hailed by many teachers and student alike. Now equipped with my background in science and art, I have taught student in all secondary sch classes( JSS1-SS3) for the past decade in schools( Jonsog int’l, Bethel college and tutorials( Concept, Pathfinders..).
