Do not wish her ill. Just let it go. No need to curse her into poverty. Poverty it probably is, which makes her sell old goods in the first place. A terrible practice, of course. At best if you visit that place again, caution her against such practices. It is well.

Very sorry about your son. I genuinely sympathise with you. But what did you do afterward ? Did you keep it bottled up so that you can become so bitter inside or did you publicly express your grievance ? I chose to do the latter. The fact that I am bringing is that (forget the wicked woman first) I have rarely been able to purchase anything useful from an Igbo trader. That is my tragedy, and if making the observation turns me into a bigot , then I am a proud bigot.
