I still do not understand why Wenger is always looking at his country for players to salvage arsenal. It is not as if these guys are stand out players.
His latest prospect is a division two French midfielder who he will even add arshavin(not as he will be missed). Is he giving his nationals an undue advantage to play at the biggest stage of club football or is there something I am missing?

He goes for french players not because they're necessarily better than players from other players but because they play the kind of football that he wants. If you watch most clubs in the french league you'll notice that they play a similar brand of football like Arsenal.

And how well is that brand of football faring in the world of modern football? I still believe there is more to it that just playing to his style.
A style that now make teams like Swansea, Bradford FC...etc a threat to arsenal. A style that makes it almost impossible for arsenal to win 'big 4' clubs. Playing for a draw at best.
