Krucifax: @ OP where is your proof? Your post seems very unsubstantiated! It should be supported by evidence from a reputable source and experts on the matter!

If you had said "some" containers used in storing food whilst heating in the microwave could give of harmful chemicals i.e carcinogens(cancer causers) we would believe. The only difference between Microwave and Electric or Gas Cooker is how the heat is generated and transmited to food!

As far as i know a Microwave is very safe,what i know to be unsafe is some plastic containers used in them!!
