Hello nairalanders, it's been quite sometimem how has biness been?
I wanna sharemy experience on 1st of march (saturday) with you guys and see how connection plays in everyda life.to cut the story short let me give you full details.

Like i will always say, set a standard and make sure you dont go believe it for no reason at all, i have set a good standard in my pricing (websites and branding) not that i just set one without performance or satisfying my clients but one that matches good quality and right pay.
As i was saying, i was doing some reading like i always do every weekend 'custhats a time when i can manage to relax then suddenlygot a call from a friend that a client of his wanted a website urgently that i should rush dowm soonest., before a flash of light i took a byke down to this "clients" office whichwas quite far and stressful to ge to (but money knows no distance or traffick so i had to take a byke striaght there to aviod any unwarranted delay)
When i got this this clients place he wasone of all these ELENU PEOPLE (noise/boastful people) but who send my own na to make my dough, men! after showing this "old man" my demos and proposals this guy kept running helter skelter without saying anything meaningful (at least i had spent over 2 hours there already)
Before i knew what was going on, two guys camein and the manintroduced hem as his sonand his friend, imagine insult this two young unilag YEAR 1 students startedforming too sabi, the son told his father that hs friend does websites too and all that, men! ino fit type too much THATS HOW THEM SIDELINE ME OH!
the man told me he was going to call back on monday so i can come pick the deposit (but i knew better than he thought. i knew i had lost out due to his son's friend beinga quack designer)
The most painful part of it is that this guy (the designer) cant mention one website he did yet he told themanhe is a professional web diesignner), mytime, the cost of goingto thelousy mans place and all that.

Butif there's one thing i am proud of is that even if i lost out in the job i seet a standard that i will never go below, at least i know then wont pay the chap up to what i bidded.

, will keep you guys updated.

Do you have a business website? If yes, then you can provide enough information for potential clients.

If you need to visit anyone that claims he/she wants a website then you cannot possibly do so.

Politely asking potential clients to visit you at your office since you have one makes a lot of difference.

Very correct!

Visiting a prospective client in Nigeria is tantamount to "Begging". In most cases, it is just a waste of time and money.
