Hello house, I heard one of d features of dis new number plate is dat d registration is tied to d car owner (Not transferable). Am in a bid to sell a car with d new number plate. do I need to remove d plate no or wat? If am to remove it, how do I proccess/register it wit anoda new car? Pls I need ur advice

very simple, if d owner buys d car with d number plate, he will do a change of ownership and all d details will become his, and if u have d numbers in ur custom papers, u certainly should let it go and do a fresh one for ur new car, wat kind of car are u selling?

You are not suppose to sell the car with the new number plate. The new number plate is registered permanently with your driver's licence in your name. Remove it and sell the car without number plate. The new number plate is like your driver's licence. Do you sell your driver's licence when selling your car? Of course not.

Whoever buys the car will have to buy a new number plate and register the plate in his name or he use already registered new number plate in his name, if he has one. The interested buyer buying the car with the new number plate makes the plate invalid. He cant renew or change the ownership of the car with that number plate. He will have to throw it away and buy another. If he continues to use the one he bought the car with, if the car is involve in a robbery at any time, it is you that will be arrested as a suspect, since its your name, picture and other personal data that pop up in their system, not the new owner. Also, he cant do change of ownership with that plate since its not his.
