These has become a great argument between me and my friends, screaming, yelling and shouting at each other over a small issues that doesn’t even have to be a serious matter, but it’s a good thing to talk about am not gonna go into details of our arguments (you wouldn’t wanna know)! But one thing I made pretty clear to them is that Blackberry is still better than iPhone only because of the BIS, for people living in countries where internet subscription is free or at low cost iPhone might be better thann BB but here in Nigeria, lets look at surf-freedom Blackberry has given to us through the BIS, you can browse weekly for 500 and monthly for 1500, this is good enough comparing to high rate of data plan besides BIS.
lets say there are no BIS and you subscribe to data plan on your smartphone like 500m for a month cost 2000 you will experience two things first: if there is no network failure throughout the month, your data plan wont last more than two weeks before it will be exhausted , Two: lets say there is network failure during the month you wont enjoy what you paid for, am pretty damn sure either one of the condition above will happen to you! Can you live with that??
And I subscribe to my BIS for 1500 monthly either there is network failure or not…..i still got chance to enjoy what I pay less for than those who paid higher tarrif, and I can still use my BIS to browse on my PC…..unless iPhone also completed its proposed IIS (iphone Internet Subscriptihn) I don’t see a reason why you should buy a cost phone and still subscribe to high data plan.

if you read my post very well, you will notice that i said A REASON I PREFERRED BB, I know iPhone is far better smartphone than BB when it comes to apps, imaging, and many other things, but can you really enjoy all those features without an internet plan?? if app is free, sey na your saliva you go use download am, i believe this is reason why BB has many users than iPhone in Nigeria, because of 9JA high rate internet plan, and BIS say no to that, so i Preferred Blackberry, AM I A LEARNER?

I use airtel BIS on my droid device. So what do i need a BB for? Your question should be: 'which device is better ECONOMICALLY?'

Great that you can use Airtel BIS ona your droid devices, but I'd bet with you, %80 of Blackberry users are either using it because of the BIS or BBM, that's what am trying to proof here...I dont like it either but with BIS, Do I have a choice?

BIS yes. BBM?? no. BBM is and should not be listed as an advantage over other phones. Theres nothing on BBM i cant get on other IM's. Its even more of a disadvantage since it is only supported on one platform.

Of what use is BBM when you have WhatsApp that runs cross-platform?

AIRTEL 1gb BIS and MTN unlimited BIS can now be used on iphone and android devices.

We have good and functional 3G android devices that sells for less than N15,000, much much cheaper than the cheapest BB

BlackBerry lacks so many useful apps and games you find freely on iphone and android devices.

So tell me again about the advantage of blackberry over iphone and android devices.
