Nigeria May Disintegrate If Jonathan Contests In 2015 – Shuluwa by Maxymilliano(m): 6:54am On Mar 08, 2013
Former member of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) representing Benue State, Abu King Shuluwa, has said that Nigeria may disintegrate if President Goodluck Jonathan contests in 2015.

He, however, noted that if President Jonathan does not heed the calls by those he christened“political jobbers” to contest the 2015 presidential elections, then he will stop the nation from disintegrating.

The elder statesman, who gave the warning while speaking with newsmen in Makurdi on Thursday while reacting to the recent Abuja High Court ruling, which cleared the President to contest the 2015 presidential election, said should Jonathan contest the election, Nigeria may descend into a state of anarchy.

His words: “Any attempt by Jonathan to run for the election would plunge this country into total anarchy or revolution because the people feel betrayed by a president who told them that he would run for one term and thereafter return power to the North”.

Shuluwa added, “The people urging him to contest are the cabal and political jobbers surrounding Jonathan because of their selfish interest, which is against the wishes of the majority of Nigerians. They forget that they are very few in number compared to the rest of Nigerians.

“I saw a vision of the country disintegrating by 2015, but the only person that can save Nigeria from the impending disintegration is President Jonathan and he can do that by not contesting the 2015 presidential election, he said.

Describing them as “Selfish people who do not have the interest of the country at heart at all”, he warned Jonathan to “be weary of them because when the revolution comes, it will not leave anybody behind.

“Nigerians are saying he should not contest. If he does, then he is calling for the total revolution, which will affect every household.

“That revolution will start the day Jonathan is announced as the candidate of the PDP. If he dares win the election, he will hardly be sworn-in because of the revolution”.

Yes, it is understood that after every war, the 'winners' of such war sit down to share the spoils. We know that the North got political power while the west got economic power. What people like Mr Shuluwa don't understand is that such sharing does not last for ever. The war 'winners' are too are too lazy to look beyond their nose. The Niger Delta and SE are back to the table demanding for their fair share of the very nation that you say they must not leave.

Any smart 'war winner' need to understand that that portion that once accrue to them because they 'won' a war can no more be theirs in today's Nigeria because the 'losers' are back. The real revolution will happen when people continue behaving in such a way that the war just ended yesterday. For the first time, Ita Enang said something that has never been said in the Nigeria senate. He lost the war too. The message is clear, the 'winners' need to smell the coffee. And nobody is really afraid of a divided of Nigeria. Actually, if any section of Nigeria attempt the kind of 'revolution' this man is suggesting today, he should be ready to welcome the JTF, the same tool that was once used to 'hold' the country together.

Democracy is all about consensus building, not threats. A new Nigeria is emerging, beyond the divided we once recognize. Should the President decide to contest in 2015, he will and nothing will happen. Kaita once said worse things but he learnt the hard way that this is 2013!

This man is right & at the same time wrong as well, looking onto the prospect of Nigeria in the hands of GEJ whom someone likened to as a rat in cheese factory, the future of Nigeria is faced with a great threat, he doesn't have the balls to dare people & situations in the face; by allowing thieves like Maima the police pension criminal, Otedola etc to be walking scot free, little attention on industrialisation, disintegration in the education sector e.g University of Abuja saga. The outrageous amount of money budgeted for wasteful things like news papers, his food, local & foreign trips, the 1st lady's house etc. On the other hand, GEJ is just a mortal being who isn't perfect, without collective efforts, he will fail. The system is long decayed & it needs cleansing, there's need for paradigm change in the Nigerian governance system... The sabotaging of his efforts by faceless enemies such as the BH, all these & many more constitute to factors that may lead to Nigeria's disintegration... However, let's hope he can convince Nigerians before 2015.

lol. So Jonathan is to hand over the presidency to the north because it is their own? If the aforementioned was true and Jonathan's running would cause the country to disintegrate then I would pray for it to happen, descending into anarchy because a man wants to run for office is a clear indicator that Nigeria is not going to work so the sooner we end it the better. Also, if the people do not want Jonathan to be president in 2015 then he wont win and that is the end of that, isn't that how a democracy works?

Who allowed that ape to speak?

if that is the Case then GEJ will be forced to contest in 2015 and 2019 and let the Disintegration commence , it seems people think that 2013 is 1973 and when the wave this flag of revolution everybody will start panicking and give way , i must say that this fool lost his priorities , this fool should have been more interested in what is happening in Jos , Nassarawa , Southern Kaduna and even his own Benue where his kinsmen and other innocent citizens are being slaughtered by Hausa / Fulani but rather he is here telling us what will happen or not happen when GEJ contest, is not his Hypocrisy worst than that of Yorubas

musiwa10: just keep quest, people dont want goodluck.. And if he has good adviser, he should quit. if he return , you dont need a protest to tell you, what will happen..

when more than 80% of a country hate a president.. why should anyone think, he should be president.

Popularity of a candidate is determined by the ballot. Whoever wants to lead this country should be ready to contest and win election rather than resorting to cheap blackmail against other candidates.

Jonathan has the right, the left and the centre to kwontest or contest (any one you like).

Vote for Jonathan! Vote for freedom!

Come to think of it, we have never seen the exposure of the true colours of Nigeria as we are seeing it now.

Jonathan, you have my vote, you have my campaign, no fall my h and oo.

Don't ever consider not contesting.

Why is the North so desperate to be president, it's becoming suspicious with time?

I would have taken the North serious, if they had proposed replacing GEJ with Southern candidate.

Just to inform you Mr that we are leading a 10 million man campaign to force Jonathan to exercise his constitutional right in 2015. You and the old gay Shuluwa can‘t stop the match.

Come to think of it what has Shuluwa‘s Benue State gained all the years the north has been in power? What was Buhari‘s PTF contribution to his Benue State? Does the core north treat the average Idoma, Tiv and Etulo man as a northerner when time for sharing of post comes.

In fact Shuluwa is... Let me not insult his old age cos I want mine.
