Insincerity Of The Government And The Northern Leaders In Boko Haram Crisis... by jerusalem101: 2:00pm On Mar 12, 2013
what goes around come around they say,the monster call boko haram whose Originator according to President GEJ was a friend to the former governor of Borno state buh the friendship is now generating serious issue for all. but sincerely speaking looking at the statements/actions from both Government and the Northern leaders(politicians) with regard to AMNESTY for boko haram, one can comfortable deduce that the idea of Boko haram has political undertone with alot of insincerity, sometime ago the president was quoted in His speech of saying that boko haram have infiltrated his administration that he knows them, he later contradicted himself at the town hall meeting in Borno when He said that boko haram is a ghost organisation so he can negotiate with the faceless group. Many northern leaders has accused the president of being Double standard in his statement which have generated so much verbal and counter verbal missile among those in support and those against the statement.
Now looking at the position of the Northern leaders/politicians who were initially silence when the sect started their manifestation against the Christian/ churches without knowing that "what goes around, will definitely comes around" until went the sect started visiting the mosgue/moslim faithfuls/leaders with their activities reigning terror on them also and even some disgruntled n criminal element taking advantage of the situation to achieve their aim, now they are screaming calling on the Government to dialogue with the arm militia. but the astonishing aspect of it is the wrong perception of the Amnesty programme it self, the northern leaders who are suppose to clamour for peace,I mean lasting peace are busy looking at the benefit of Amnesty in the Niger Delta region instead of talking about lasting peace after the dialogue.
is just funny considering the fact that president GEJ himself said that the Amnesty programme was mismanaged, instead of Nigerians to look at ways of bringing lasting peace to the region they are looking fro an avenue to make money.after all how are sure the politicians and leaders won't mismanage and the region will still be plague with the same issue? the problem is insincerity in the minds of our politicians/Government who make laws and the leaders who are scared because the group is now an enemy of all.
