Of course the victim is going to kick the bucket afterwards.
That is a false excuse. There is no psychic or scientific possibility of such occurrence. I should have been the first to know.

Reyginus: The reason I'd prefer to be in the 5th dimension. You see whenever you say things like these, we the laymen get confused. To begin with, can the spiritual realm be analysed scientifically?
Yes, it can be.

There's no way I'm believing that crap. Heard it a lot of time but doesn't make sense to me.

If u really look at the circumstances, there is usually no concrete evidence. I'm sure a snapshot will convince people.

Billyonaire: Yes, it can be.
I just hope you understand the implication of answering yes. By implication, the basic rules of science will also hold in the spiritual. You forgot that metaphysical laws are not to obey physical laws but otherwise. This set of scientific explanations the spiritual agrees with, does it include physical proof? To keep you unstained, it must.

The problem with most african communities is dat we are too lazy and sometimes scared to seek facts and proofs....

I genuinely don't know why we are scared or lazy, even though we can glarinly see that bravery, research and unquenchable thirst for facts took oyinbo to the moon..

Frm the antibiotics u use to vaccines u give to ur kids, na juju work in be?

We better do away with this rubbish called superstition... Oyinbo go just dey continue to laugh at us.

Rooneyboy: @ poster , believing is not compulsory.

I have PERSONALLY WITNESSED IT , they took my neighbor's own a couple of years back.

The guy that took it was caught and when asked to return it he said it wasn't possible that it was already in a shrine in Kogi state.
(Mind u we were in Lagos state ooo)

*no be small thing that day ooo, come see beating* - - - - - - it got so bad that they chopped the man's fingers of with machete. - - - - - -

In the end he invoked the stuff back, and the victim had to take an excuse to check if the new joystick was functional .

You don't seem to have been involved in that nonsense of cutting off a man's fingers, but let me make it clear that if indeed that really took place, all involved need to be locked up, the keys thrown away and forgotten for good. That sort of behavior is undoubtedly cancer of the purest quality possible, demonstrating how someone could think diarrhea has more value than 9ja. Believing is not compulsory but true story or not, I hope you know how foo.lish behavior of that sort is, yes?

Btw, why don't any of you ever take pictures? Heck, even get nta involved. They put goatmen/tubermen on tv, why not pipi-less men as well? You know, preferably one that's been verified by doctors around? Even a corpse would do, actually.

Would there still be sign of having anything at the former position? How does that part looks like after the missing male reproductive organ?
Re: Missing Joystick...Real Spiritual Phenomenon? or Urban Legend? by keneslow: 1:39am On Mar 20, 2013
Na so ... We are soooo far behind in this our country. Let me give two examples to help illustrate what I'm trying to say.

1. Bill Gates comes to Nigeria and goes to your village where he meets you great grandma who has never left there her entire life. She asks him how he got there and he explains that he came in a great metal bird that flies in the sky. When the old woman laughs and says such is impossible, he takes her on a spin in his Gulf Stream V; seeing is believing and problem solved.

2. Seun goes to America and decides to stop over real quick at New Orleans. While he is there he gets into a chat with the boyz in the hood talking about how he can deflect bullets and turn into a cat at will. When they ask for a demo, Seun will say well "boys true talk no be me do am sha but if you go nairaland u go see enough people wey sabi as the thing dey work".

We tend to believe without reasoning or thinking. If someone is going around making outlandish claims that they can deflect bullets for example, is it not practical that said person be ready to give a demo of his ability?

Anyway these people wen dem tap their eggroll, one pesin talk say nothing remain another pesin talk say na small pikin 'pipi' remain. So which is it? grin

From the article I posted earlier.

wiki:
Signs and symptoms

Most patients report acute anxiety attacks due to perceived genital retraction and/or genital shrinkage, despite any objectively visible biological changes in the Instruments that are longstanding. "Longstanding" refers to changes that are sustained over a significant period of time and do not appear reversible, unlike the effect of cold temperatures on some genital regions that cause retraction. These changes may trigger a koro attack when observed, although the effects of cold temperatures are objectively reversible.[12] According to literature, episodes usually last several hours, though the duration may be as long as two days.[13] There are cases in which koro symptoms persist for years in a chronic state, indicating a potential co-morbidity with body dysmorphic disorder.[10][14] In addition to retraction, other symptoms include a perception of alteration of penis shape and loss of penile muscle tone. In cases when sufferers have no perception of retraction, some patients may complain of genital paraesthesia or genital shortening.[15] Among females, the cardinal symptom is nipple retraction in the breast, generally into the breast as a whole.[10]

Psychological components of koro anxiety include fear of impending death and penile dissolution and loss of sexual power.[16] [10] Feelings of impending death along with retraction and perceived spermatorrhea has a strong cultural link with Chinese traditional beliefs. This is demonstrated by the fact that Asians generally believe Koro symptoms are fatal, unlike most patients in the West.[10][17] Other ideational themes are intra-abdominal organ shrinkage, sex change to female or eunuch, non-specific physical danger, urinary obstruction, sterility, impending madness, spirit possession and a feeling of being bewitched.[10]

Extremely anxious sufferers and their family members may resort to physical methods to prevent the believed retraction of the penis. A man may perform manual or mechanical penile traction, or "anchoring" by a loop of string or some clamping device.[18] Similarly, a woman may be seen grabbing her own breast, pulling her nipple, or even having iron pins inserted into the nipple.[17] Physical injury may occur from these attempts.[10] These forceful attempts often lead to injuries, even death.[19]

Causes

Psychosexual conflicts, personality factors, and cultural beliefs are considered as being of etiological significance to koro.[9] Sexual adjustment histories of non-Chinese victims are often significant, such as premorbid sex inadequacy, sexual promiscuity, guilt over masturbation, and impotence.[20]

it's strange though. Isn't literacy & maturity supposed to overshadow myths?
Religion is the founder of all myths...except u dont believe in religion, learn 2 stick 2 their myth.
