KidStranglehold: Anyways...ALL HAIL THE CARIBBEAN MASTER RACE! cool cool

Fun facts... wink

1. Fidel Castro of Cuba resisted Western powers.

2. Haiti first black nation.

3. Most stable black nations found in the Caribbean.

4. Hottest girls found in the Caribbean.

6. Everyone goes to the Caribbean to have a good time. Like Msdarkskin stated.

7. Jamaican culture is known world wide.

But the TRUE master race of the Caribbean are the Haitians!grin grin grin

We Haitians defeated THREE super powers at the time...The French, Spaniards and British...

United under the great and legendary..

The revolution was so violent that whites were killed in the most unthoughtful ways you can think of...

^^^

But sadly during time Haiti went downhill...Especially under Papa doc..(My step fathers father worked under Papa Doc)..

But thanks to Michel Martelly and his smart strategies with tourism....Haiti may rise and again and take its rightful place!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKwdIfSz7ZQ

AAIIIGHT NOW!! Haitins shut shyt down but don't style Jamos now!! grin
We were some tyrants too!! cool the spanish BEGGED us to fight with them against the british. we waxed the british azzes so bad they came at us with TWO TREATIES! cool

One to stop whipping their azz and the other to allow the various maroon people to live freely and control a portion of Jamaica if and only if they promised not to stop them (british) from handling their business on the island...

You know the beheading/torturing of the whites thing was something brought to Jamaica, Haiti and South Carolina by our Kongo ancestors. cool I forgot which documentary i saw it on but it was saying that we literally arrived on our islands from the same ships...as in we are literally the same people as far as our Kongo/Angolan ancestry is concerned. Apparently we were whipping azz so bad they outlawed discussing the news of the rebellions in America fearing those in America would follow...and that's exactly what happened in South Carolina grin.

I promise i will try to find the documentary!! As soon as I do I will post it. smiley

Thats great! I'm still VERY young, but one day I would like to invest in the Carribean/Africa. I don't get why AA's like Oprah, 50cent(though he has helped Somalia, but im talking business), Jay Z, Bob Johnson,etc...Don't invest in the Caribbean or Africa and creat a business unity... Lost of $$$ to be made and can help the people. Again im still very young but when I do finsish college and my wealth does increase, I would do that.

Really..because one day I would like to visit Cuba. Mad bad looking girls in Cuba. But I dont like the white cubans, they're really racist. undecided

to tell you the truth, AAs are not responsible for what happens in the caribbean. It's up to US to take care of our own, just like it's up to them to take care of their own. Oprah is not obligated to even send money to Africa but she did out of choice and I ain't mad at that. smiley But there is no obligation. I think rich caribbean people need to give back to our homelands because at the end of the day we are joined at the him. Nia Long and other caribbean-americans have done a good job so far...esp. Wyclef..we just need more to step up!!

As for Cuba..the white cubans are straight..minus the Italian ones tongue
and anyone can go to Cuba just not Americans without permission. Like Jamaicans can go to Cuba with NO PROBLEM. In fact Jamos are there and Cubans are in Jamo like crazy..

Haitians can go there..Dominicans etc. Just Americans can't because of the embargo and the who saga from the 50's. The only reason America is mad is because they wanted to turn cuba into what puerto rico and the US virgin islands are now: American luxury islands tongue it's all about imperialism. America wants to control the islands.

INTERESTING! I wouldn't be surprised...You Jamaicans descend from warriors...The Ashanti/Akan people. Those people defeated the British in five wars. You guys should be proud. But not trying to disrespect Jamaica, but the 'naughty' slaves were sent to Jamaica as punishment, which is why Jamaicans were so hardcore.

Kimpa vita was burn July 2, 1706, she died with the name of true Jesus in her mouth and a great Star appeared at the place of her SACRIFICE. Kimpa vita was to reincarnate somewhere in the KONGO, a few days after his execution someone had indeed overview kimpa vita in mbanza kongo.

For the restoration of the Kongo Kingdom. In any case mother KIMPA VITA had a very huge influence after her death. Many PRISSONNIERS that were sold as slaves were of the ANTONIENS (Followers of mother Kimpa Vita church). Father Lorenzo da Luca who was traveling with the ship “Nossa Senora Do Cabo had noted that lots of slaves had medals of the antonien movement. Even those slaves who were brought to Brazil in 1705 were from Kongo kingdom), according to JOHANNES MENNE POSTMA in (THE DUTCH IN THE ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE, 1600-1815, appendix 1 CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS1990) Kongo slave trading was led to SURINAMIN Jamaica, BARBADOS, ANTIGUA, in Virginia (USA) A PORT YORK then in the JAMES RIVER VALLEY. The Kongolese were working in the coffee plantations. A great numbers of those who were sent to HAITI, South CAROLINE (USA) and New ORLEANS (Louisiana). Most of them brought their culture and the religion of mother KIMPA VITA.

American PETER WOOD historian in (NEGRO COLONIAL SOUTH CAROLINA FROM 1670 THROUGH THE STONO REBELION (new - york 1974) explains that more than 60% of slaves in the CAROLINE (North and South) were from the Kongo kingdom. In 1739 Americans settlers of South Carolina where concentrated mostly by Kongolese slaves, referring to the presence of slaves who had mystical qualities and many spiritual gift). They had the quality of mystical disappearance or to be seen in several places both. JHON THORNTON of the University of Pennsylvania also confirms that all Christians of the South Carolina slave were converts to Kongo religion which they considered as original . (FC john Thornton, the Congolese saint Anthony, Chapter 9, Cambridge university press 1998). In the 9th of January 1739, in South Carolina a Kongolese slave known by the name of Cato or JEMMY was the head of uprising of slaves. It was known as "THE STONO REBELLION OF SEPTEMBER the 9th 1739" this lift was considered as the most huge lifting of slaves in the history of the North America, Jemmy, the leader of the revolt, was a literate slave described as Angolan, which likely meant from the kingdom of Kongo in Central Africa. Jemmy and several other leaders of the revolt probably had experience using fire arms in Africa during Kongo's suppression of the Mbamba revolt. Source: http://www.carolana.com/SC/Royal_Colony/sc_stono_rebellion.html

It is from the stono revolution that the settlers of North America have ceased to import Kongo slaves. According to JHON THORNTON (in THE CONGOLESE SAINT ANTHONY P213 most of the 1791- 1804 Haitian Revolutionaries were from KONGO. They were singing in Kikongo language "Kanga MUNDELE, Kanga NDOKI" (catch white, catch evil. The Haitian revolutionaries had inflicted a crushing defeat of the napoleon army. In this revolutionary many talk about a certain MANKANDALA, name transform by Westerners as MACK DAL who was a great revolutionary originated from the Kongo kingdom, he had run a large numbers of English, and this revolution gave birth to the first black Republic in the history. They are also Haitian people who assisted SIMON BOLIVAR in his fight against the Spanish, which led them to a victory and the liberation from the Spanish colonial ruling of 5 countries in Latin America in 1816. the Kongo in Haiti are concentrated in the North. Source: http://www.macandal.org/paper.html

In Jamaica, the black population is divided in two parts, the maroons nation and nation bongo Kongo. The maroon nations are native of West Africa. The Kongo bongo nation is concentrated in eastern Jamaica, they speak very similarly to Kikongo language and they are descendants of Kongo who arrived in Jamaica in the 18 century. Their musical rhythm called KUMINA, or KODONGO and their drum is called NGOMA which they use to invoke the spirits of the ancestors. They still recognize that the true Jesus was black as they kept the Kongo knowledge. Source: http://mountalvernia.tripod.com/id17.html

The first slaves who arrived in Brazil in 1705 were from Kongo. The Kongo people of Brazil called Zumbi the first leader of the movement of liberation of blacks in Brazil, one of the pioneers of the QUILOMBOS (independent of the black communities)
Are very famous. CONDOMBELE DO KONGO, it is a dance in honor of God and SAINTS who are presented as being black, saint Francis etc., practitioners of CANDOMBELE believe in Jesus Christ, fathers of Church as black. Source: http://jg.socialsciences.manchester.ac.uk/docs/SlaveResistance_RSlenes.pdf

In Cuba, (1513) the first slaves came from Haiti. Then in 1520, 300 slaves came from KONGO to work in the gold mines of Jagua. They have continued their religious practices of the Kongo kingdom. In fact ,Kongo it is a way to communicate with spirits.
During the independence war of Cuba or Spanish-American war, there are also native of the Kongo kingdom who illustrate the legendary "GRITO DE YARA"cry of YARA, MARIANO GANGA, DOMINGO MACUA, FELIPE MACUA, MAYIMBE JOSE DOLORES, AMBROSIA CONGO, FELIPE GANGA, LORENZO GANGA without forgetting MA DOLORES IZNAGA the slave GANGA who cured slaves traditionally." Source: http://www.ife-ile.org/traditions/congo.htm

this clearly isn't as detailed as the documentary i saw but it basically goes to show where we got most of our fighter spirit from.

I know this may sound bizarre. But I think AA's should give Liberia another chance. The civil war in Liberia is over and the country is becoming more and more stable under the new female president. AA's always complain about how they don't have a home country, but here is Liberia. I say they should give it another shot. I know this is going to sound really stupid but America doesn't give all blacks a chance. I read that black Americans living in South Africa love it there instead of America, because they say there is more opportunities for a black person in SA.

The thing is MsDarkskin...AA's live in a WHITE dominated country. White people will never accept black people and will never really make black people equal to them. Here I'm mostly speaking for AA's. When AA's go to African countries like Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa,etc...They feel comfortable, because the people look like them and they don't have to worry about racism or bias. MsDarkskin I REALLY want blacks world wide to progress. If you look at the news Africa is progressing really fast. Angola economy is moving at a fast pace and in the future might be Africas star(Nigeria too if they get rid of their corruption).

Even Portuguese people are moving to Angola.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-kSt-5ip94

^^^That is the future. We will be seeing Non Africans moving into African nations. Portugal is not as rich as it was because it odes not have its colonies.

Now I am not saying AA's should call Africa home, because it is not really their home. BUT in my humble opinion...If Africa does rise, develop and become more stable. I believe there will be much better opportunities in African countries for AA's.

My understanding of Haiti's history is that Haiti and Dominic Republic are actually distant relatives. If you look at the map...Haiti and DR aren't that far apart. I have some cousins that can pass for DR but they have Black parents. I believe when the Spanish got involved with slavery and trading they also dabbled into copulation which birthed a few of our yellow folks in the Carrib.

If you go to Miami which is Small Haiti...you will meet Spanish, French, and HC speaking Haitians.

Well Liberia/ns is pretty much ex-slaves that were able to return home after being stolen or sold. There are some BA living in Liberia but not in the capacity similar to Ghana. Ghana is safer than Liberia and I am sure if Liberia was able to prove safety...more BA would follow suit.

In the Volta region...there are lands only given to BA and Carrib alone. I met a man who built his home in that region and created several real estates such as hotels and he has been there for 20 years. He offered to mentor my friend who is BA and Chinese...but his azz looks Mexican.

If I lose my job cos of yall...I am staying with one of yall. How am I gon explain to Chima I got fired cos I was chatting at work?

i think if anything black americans should learn to take control of our economic situations
while in america: start business, invest in our business and promote self reliance.

the big "uprooting in the name of repatriation" wish some of our forefathers had is unrealistic however i feel cross-atlantic trading with each other would be the best option.

i am happy for Angola's progress though, believe it but I don't think moving there as a people, is necessary.

I disagree with a few things you said...there aren't much opportunities for BA and Carribs in Nigeria and a few other African countries...however Ghana has proven that BA/Carribs can excel without opposition and with much support. As Ms Darkskin was saying no one has to return home just to prove they accept Africa as their home but it isn't really home to them if they have never lived there. See home is where you lay your head proudly regardless if you are on BA a stolen land or not. It is what you make of it.

Now...looking back when Haiti was colonized by the Spanish and French but managed to become the first Black Nation to rule then other Black countries followed suit. America was stolen and bartered several times before it became United States of America....the stolen products, i.e slaves through oppression fought like bulls and now they are free however with perks that benefits other Blacks and minorities that didn't have a hand in it. However you may think that BAs would never equal to Whites...think about it...to be forced as a White person to give accommodations or considerations to those inferior or else jail time is nearby. If that isn't a victory for many slaves who have died to make sure BAs were able to have access to decent education, health, housing, employment, and vote.

It is a long ways coming but anything is better than nothing.

Mrs..Chima:

Naw Haitians and Dominicans are literally the same people only differing in language. The hatred for each other is the result of politics and self hatred on the part of Dominicans who do not want to be associated with Africans (racially). They claim to be Caribbean but they strongly dislike Haitians (political) and Africans (<<don't want to be classified as African..would rather be called Taino grin)...not all but some who happen to have the most influence over the island/culture.

The Spaniards and the biracial Dominicans backs in the day had a vendetta against the Haitians and eventually they made it racial. They used to kill the Haitian immigrants or anyone who couldn't speak Spanish (who they suspected of being Haitian) to "cleanse" their part of the Island.

I forgot what happened but Haiti and Dominican Rep. used to be "one" nation and the island is still called "Hispanola" but a series of conflicts happened and #boom. It was over.

Kid shed some more light on this please.... smiley
