Former Abia state Governor, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, yesterday absolved Boko Haram of some of the bombings in the northern part of the country blaming it instead on government security agents.

Kalu, who spoke in Abuja when members of the FCT chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) visited him, said the security agencies do this to attract more funding from the federal allocation.

Kalu said people are aware of this but refuse to speak out for fear of being victimized even as Nigerians continue to die as a result of the activities of unpatriotic public officers.

“When people like me speak, they label us. The security agencies are planting some of these bombs, not Boko Haram. This is the truth I am telling you, and people wait to see Nigerians die for them to say this is Muslims and Christians fighting,” he said.

In his reaction, police spokesman Frank Mba said “Kalu is a highly respected politician who has the right to express his opinion and by making such statement he had expressed such right. He directed the statement to his audience not the police and I will not make comment on that.”

Mba who declined mentioning if there was any instance where a bombing incidence was masterminded by a non-terror group, said “the results of investigations into bombings are classified and I cannot reveal them straight away.”

Anybody can claim to be spoke person of Boko Harem you know. They dont wear badges.

The only thing new here is that this is coming from Uzor Kalu not some Malam from the north. It has been said over and over... They usually do this in the early hours of the morning when people are not out on the streets. They will make a bang then followed by shootings in the air. This keeps their monies coming in.

May I add that some british MPs just congratulated Orji Kalu for a non-existent achievement in governance (Aba is in ruins). This dude is seriously compromised. I hereby seek to absolve ndi igbo from all the mis yarns that would come out of this man's mouth hence forth. Ignore the global dimensions of the Nigerian problem to your own peril. Oga orji Kalu, i salute your courage and braveness for coming out and saying the truth. We that live where the bombings occur already know these but those in the south think its boko responsible. I dont think anybody can bomb jaji and force head quarters except security agencies. I am sure some dumb southerners will still not believe what he said.

SS do not care because it is their son, the retardeen in power!

SE, the iboz, who are the main victims pretend to care but with the retardeen from the SS giving them crumbs from the table, they would do anything to support him.

The north (NW, NE, NC) ruled mostly by PDP cannot do too much really, when the retardeen's got them by the balls. They do not control the Police and would rather keep their position than rock the boat and end up being thrown out.

The SW, that has on record and historically, the most forward-looking and forward-thinking leaders, administrators and highly skilled manpower and despite working hard for progress, the retardeens and their co-travellers are really slowing them down!!

If Orji Kalu has evidence of what he is saying, let him present such to the authorities or publish them in the media depending on whom he trusts.

And its not a secret that GEJ was behind the Oct 1st, 2010 bombing , absolved MEND even when they claimed responsibility, fell out with Henry Okah, then had him set up and jailed for 24years in South Africa.
