The just laws of nature are already gradually but surely resolving the nigerian joke into separate and more tolerable entities. The inevitable cannot be avoided. |

I don't think the solution to our problems lie in dividing the country. I think we exert alot of influence over other African nations just because of the size of our population. We must try to maintain that element that gives us some leverage over others. We see clashes, bickerings, and hostilities even within thesame states and ethnic groups. So, if we think division is the solution then we must be looking at deviding the country all the way down to an extent every single family constitutes an autonomous country! In my opinion, our biggest problem lie in our justice system that seems to reward offenders and punish victims. Put away small thieves in the slammers and throw away the keys while the Big Crooks get a slap on the wrist, a pat on the back, a pardon, followed by a chieftaincy title! Once the law is applied as common sense would dictate, alot of things would take shape. The sense of oneness and patriotism would be re-awakened and the sleeping giant would wake up from it's age long slumber. I have no doubt in my mind justice if the key to our salvation. |

Using the word 'divide' always make it sound like a violent balkanization in the offing I would rather the 'division' happens after we conduct a referendum and to the future of the country as nothing else has worked However, I see a minimum of five countries if balkanizing the country is he way to go, from my interactions with people The Republic of Oduduwa The Republic of the Niger Delta The Republic of Biafra The Arewa Republic The Republic of Central Nigeria 1 Like |

I hope my views don't sound different from what most people would like to hear.I believe Nigeria Stands to benefit more if we stay together.....and I don't think practicising true fredralism is a great idea....if a dog have a taste of human blood, its best you let it go or kill it........Nigeria has to develop its own system of govt....each state has at least two minerals that would makee it viable......encourage extraction and sale but give a considerable percent of whatever made to the state.....at least the reason why there are agitations is because most people don't actually see the result of the tag of "oil producing" that is why there are agitations here and there......most especially,we all must have and create a sense of belonging for every tribe irrespective of the fact that they are majority or minority......and another major problem is RELIGION.....it must be sepeerated from politics......I rest my case here...there are many things to say...... |

geeez: Using the word 'divide' always make it sound like a violent balkanization in the offingyou see five? I see more than five.....remember in delta,we have ijaws itsekiri, urhobos who are always warring.....and in Rivers, the ijaws and other minorities call the ikwerris igbos and would never want to be with them....is it the idomas and tivs? Or in jos platue the four distinct tribes? We would have many states....... |

cecegorz: Federalism under Nigeria shall be worse than the present configuration. Again, the so-called federalism will not eliminate alleged “Kleptomatic politicians” from Nigerian society. However, a new nation state may choose to run a different system or style of government oblivious to current Nigerians. |
