List of National and Public Holidays for Nigeria in the year 2013 New Year’s Day is on Tuesday, 01 January, 2013 Maolud Nabiyy (Birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW) is on Thursday, 24 January, 2013 Good Friday is on Friday, 29 March, 2013 Easter Monday is on Monday, 01 April, 2013 Workers’ Day is on Wednesday, 01 May, 2013 Democracy Day, May 29, 2013 Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) is on Thursday, 08 August, 2013 Independence Day Nigeria is on Tuesday, 01 October, 2013 Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) is on Tuesday, 15 October, 2013 Christmas Day is on Wednesday, 25 December, 2013 Boxing Day is on Thursday, 26 December, 2013 Note: Islamic holidays may change by +/- a day subject to the sighting of the new moon for the Muslim Calendar.
