herkeym001: In my department we were told to submit our JAMB slip and not only the Reg No,I don't have the slip again but I retrieve the Reg No from my then Admission leter and when I print it out most of my data were blank, its only my name and jamb score that is there on internet. Am scared oooo.

idmanzik: This is unfair to those candidates admitted through remidial or pre-science programme in our various higher institutions of learning. I have a friend who finished from ABU in 2012, he was admitted through ABU's remidial programme but is yet to be mobilized for NYSC because of JAMB registration number - the school requests he provide any JAMB reg number before being mobilized.

Luckily for him, he wrote JAMB before going through the remidial programme. Of many who passed through the rem's programme, he is among the few with JAMB registration. So what's gonna happen to others.

Who takes the blame?...the Students? Universities? or JAMB?.

Pancs: any batch A coup. On What document did you present your jamb reg number. Is it on your admission letter or the computer print out during registration.

we did'nt present it on any document or form..Jus dat,if u don't hav it,ur name wil either show up on 'error list' or it won't even show up @ al..Make sure u get urs if u rili want 2 serve..They are serious abt it oh..I went thru d 'error list' wahala bt thank God i'm nw wearin my khaki

HAH: This is nonsense, what is the business of nysc with jamb,I think the issue of jamb slip should be left for school to handle and not nysc,

Nysc is for national service, I think the culprit should be the schools not the student their only concern should be to check if the certificate is genuine. To me this is a misplaced priority and just a way of cutting the number of prospective corp members

What of those that studied abroad do we also ask them to produce jamb slip, this is pure discrimination.

I wonder what they will hold on to now that FG want to scrap JAMB.

for thode wo dnt hav d number, all u need do is to walk to any state jamb office, pay to dem jamb fees which i beliv is arround 5k, dem jamb will giv u a number, take dat number to ur student affair department for moblization. Is as simple as dat. Same process apply to foreign graduate

I am a batch A corp member. The JAMB registration number is meant to curtail sharp practices by the student affairs of various institutions as most of them dubiously include names of ineligible students for NYSC mobilisation. That is what we were told by the D.G of NYSC when he came to our orientation camp.

Nigeria will not cease to ^amaze me wat abt foreign trained graduate. the law says U MOST HOLD DEGREE OR HND b4 mobilization

For HND student, can someone drop the Direct Entry (DE) registration number?

Is this a case of misplaced priorities or something? Or can somebody tell me exactly what this irrelevant number has to do with the mobilization of graduates for already defeated course called NYSC? Just as few housemates had asked, what will be the fate of those that studied abroad but must still have to pass through the compulsory exercise? What is wrong the people at the helm of affairs in this country for goodness sake
