The Job
Reporting to the CEO, the primary purpose of the incumbent in this position will be to manage a branch, execute procurement initiatives in alignment with key business objectives. The role is accountable for providing support for activities such Purchasing, Bidding, Negotiating, Contract Development, Field Sourcing support and local contracts administration to mitigate the company's risk in Supply Chain Management and ensure sustainable value for the company.

Specific responsibilities will include:
- Execute world class procurement best practices in accordance with Company Policy, Management policy, and all relevant regulations.
- Develop issue and evaluate bid requirements, managing these requirements and awarding the contract.
- Work with the Category Managers) or Category Specialists) to have a two-way communication process on supplier spends and contractual activity for specific categories.
- Work with suppliers to resolve day-to-day site activities.
- Retrieve data to assist in periodic reviews of supplier performance (Performance Scorecards/Metrics) against established KPIs that are focused on safety, delivery, cost and quality.
- Provide guidance and participate in contract formulation, implementation and administration process, including Field Sourcing support and local contracts administration.
- Manage overall sourcing process at site, including RFX development and completion through the use of available technologies. Where appropriate utilize alternative sourcing methods, for example reverse auctions.
- Depending upon the site's business needs, may lead the development and negotiation of contracts, focusing on realizing the performance expectations of the strategy while managing appropriate risk allocation, acceptable terms and conditions and correct schedule utilization.
- Manage the evaluation of site RFX responses against a set of pre-defined criteria, including management of cross-functional stakeholder groups preparing recommendations for award of contract. Apply total cost of ownership (TCO) methodology/methodologies.
- Assist in identifying, quantifying, reporting of cost savings and/or continuous improvement opportunities related to purchase of goods and services.
Provide functional guidance to the Procurement Technicians at site.
- Resolve issues brought forward by the Procurement Technicians, in a timely manner.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BSc, MSc or MBA in engineering, supply chain or project management
- Professional Supply Chain certification CPP/CSCP/CPM/CPSM.
- 5+ years of experience within suppIy chain or service centre management.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Procurement functionality.
- MS office applications.
- A strong background in oil and gas industry would be an asset in order to understand the nature of work within an integrated oil and gas company
