I have an uncle who when it was time for him to get married,came home with a lady who is a registerd nurse that God told him that the lady was his wife.some tried stopping him frm getting married to d said lady by giving him reasons why he shld not get married to her but all fell to his deaf ear because to him not marrying d lady means disobeying God and thereby incurring the wrath of god.
Right now they hv been married for over 10yrs and no issue and the man is no more comfortable with d woman.just last yr d man secretely went and married another lady.my question is does it mean it wsnt God that spoke to him b4 ie has he lied against God to get d consent of d family members or can God direct u on who to marry feel free to share ur opinion or experience.

Lol. Na wa o. How can God find a wife for a man, when His word said: he who finds a wife finds a good thing. I call it deceit of the first order. But watch well o, because you'd never know. Maybe we have the power to rephrase the statement to mean: he whom the lord finds a wife for finds a good thing. Lol

In my experience, the vast majority of people who use that kind of lingo "God told me" "God said you're my wife" "God led me to do..." etc etc...

are typically telling lies. Godly people who truly hear from God do not typically need to go about chanting "God sent me/God told me"... If God has ordained a thing - it will be. Simple as that.

My brothers na so oh...with the amount of people parading around claiming God sent them, God told them, God this & that...this is the age where we all have the Holy Spirit to discern for ourselves - and for that I thank God immensely!

Imagine how terrible it is to use the name of God to tell a lie people no dey fear the All Consuming Fire, I shudder in my soul.

A similar event happened few years ago in the catholic charismatic renewal movement .... The young man in question slipped a note reading, 'God said you are my wife' to a pretty young lady. The lady replied with the normal slang:'I will think about it'. On the next fellowship meeting she was to respond to the lie. This time it was the lady who did the 'slipping'. And what was written on the sheet of paper she passed him as we later found out was:'Before I agree, first of all, I'll have to ask my husband'.
