I no even see the first one. I don't think Naija people are fans of this as they only spent $65,737 out of the $266.5M it grossed.

But this looks like fun so I'll probably watch them... sometime!

Rick Riordan doesn't have a huge following, I was surprsied to see the book being made into a film!

You're wrong, dude. I watched the Lightening Thief in a cinema in Port Harcourt, and kids and teenagers there were thrilled. I wasn't impressed much, but calling it boring just cos of that won't be a fair assessment. I guess its just a movie parents can take their kids to and everyone's happy... And i'm betting this second installment will tow the same line.

Oh, and at the risk of derailing the thread, for someone who doesn't care much about greek stories - those who do don't mistake poseidon for zeus, by the way - why did u even bother to watch the movie?

Okay so your point is in the mistake I made right? I made an error and accepted it but that does not mean the movie was not boring and childish.......

Stealing Zeus's lightning bolt and them going around the under-world to find it bla bla bla..... I would have preffered it if they made it a cartoon. At least their will be no doubt as to their target audience.

The movie was boring and I stick to that. I already have some qualms with the sequel sef...how will the son of Poseidon fight any creature inside a sea? His father controls water to Apollo's sake.
