Have you visited Lagos recently? We did, and we've come off with a discovery: The generally considered best hotel in Lagos (name withheld) is far from the best. Both the highest rated hotel in Lagos and the second second highest, as well as all the big names were discovered to be a disappointment relative to some of the less known names if you are looking for the best value for money.

For example, while looking for a hotel in Lagos, security should be among your highest considerations as a result of the high prevalence of crime in the city. Other considerations may include comfort, accessibility to the city centers, proximity to unique places like the airport or your definite destination, power supply, customer service, menu and more. It is ironical that even the most famous hotel in Lagos compares very poorly in these respects with some less known hotels/hospitality services.

Of course ironies like this, is not limited only to when you are looking for a hotel. Lagos too is not peculiar about it. The truth is that most well known brands relax in their effort to please customers/clients; instead, they rely too much on the fame they have achieved beforehand. But some of the less known brands go the extra mile to please customers/clients. This is because they are still looking to build a business image.

So, since choosing a hotel in Lagos is all about YOU - and not just about big names - we recommend that you go for what will give you the best value for your money. Below is how we made our best choice for a hotel in Lagos:

We used a hotel errand service (someone recommended this to us). A hotel errand service is a new business that is developing in the highly populated city of Lagos. You don't have to pay for the service. The errand runners are resident in the city and are connected to several hotel sources in Lagos. When you call them, they help you get the best according to your need at the moment. They do not charge you, but expect you to appreciate their effort according to your means and magnanimity when you arrive. This, in our view, is what makes their service all the more recommendable - Not just that you are free to give them what you like, but also because this makes them go the extra mile to please you and make your appreciation BIG.

You can get a hotel errand service prior to your trip to Lagos, by visiting such websites like or Google Trader Nigeria (Google it). Thank you

why not just get to the point and let everyone know that you are advertising a hotel errand service which is "free" but you give them what you can (pimps and touts)

Then you go on to make it seems like you went to the "big name" hotels and yet you said no names.

5 minutes i can't get back
