Many of you do not believe me when i say there are only two tribes in Nigeria and is "Yoruba and Others". Look at history proving me right. Look at all the women pioneers in this country.....show me one that is not Yoruba. Also look at all the men and for every 1 of the "Others" there three of " Yoruba". The 1 you find in the Others category.....if you probe his background well you discover he was raised in Yorubaland or his success came out of Yorubaland. Even till today, that trend continues. May Almighty God continue to bless the land of "Milk and Honey". hey op, God bless you, good job my brother. 14 Likes |

Gen. Ironsi watching a mortar concentration at Kachia near Kaduna in 1966, shortly before his overthrow and assassination. Some Northern soldiers wanted to make attempts on Ironsi's life on this trip, but were dissuaded by Northern elders who warned against spilling Ironsi's blood in the North. This was why Ibadan was chosen as the theatre for the July 29 1966 coup. The murders and subsequent hounding of most of the men in this picture (and their kinsmen) led to the need for the Aburi Accord, its failure, and the resultant civil war, which lasted for three years. Col. J. Akagha etc. |
