I think a couple of other allowances you included such as accommodation, furniture and motor vehicle are one- off payments and not paid??

I think the real monthly wage may total approx N16million

Which gives an annual Salary of N192million which is $1.2million (three times the Salary of President of the United States)

Starlett: @OP, are these amounts really monthly or annual? I struggle with it if monthly.

It is indeed obscene, but from the link, it is their salary structure. Which means, a breakdown of what comprises their monthly TAKE-HOME pay(excluding their tax, I think).

You don't expect them to tell you the exact truth do you? I've heard about this 16m for long but I just came across this and almost fainted. And for the line in bold above, I DIDN'T include anything. I quoted a source. The press can lie sometimes, so I can only say that if this is a false information, let the senators refute it.

Is Lai Mohammed aware of this information? Are ACN and CPC senators that portray themselves as the alternatives to thievery PDP collecting these monies? They scream and yell till they get elected, then they go in there to continue the status quo. Nigerians should wisen up. They are all the same people. They only act and scream 'corruption' up and down when they are out of power, immediately they get in ,they drop their pro-people and activism toga and begin to loot like there is no tomorrow. We ve never had it this bad. I will personally shoot any person that disturbs my life on how ACN/CPC is diFferent from PDP thieves .

P.S: Mallam Shekau is a coward. Boko haram is made up of Cowards. They go about bombing themselves and innocent people while these overfed thieves keep looting our commonwealth. If they had any iota of sense , NA complex will be their topmost target! Bomb these overfed baboons to smithereens !

I don't think some local governments earn up to 20 million naira per month whereas an individual in d name of being a senator earns above 20M/month, invariably, our senators are richer than our local government, that is criminal.

Lol at Boko Haram bombing themselves. Funny but true.

This is just pure wickedness. WTF is hardship allowance? Can somebody explain that to me?

Our future is in our hands, people.

Scharck: Can anyone here help me understand what hardship allowance is??!

The poor masses are 'enjoying' while they do the real work and 'suffer' in 'hardship'. So govt pays them allowances for that. And while they're on Recess with N248,424.55, we pay them N1,242,122.70 to cross there legs and read N300 daily paper(assuming they actually read upto 3 or 4 different newspapers)

My desire woman in life to marry is senator's daughter. This is more than making blood money.

And most of them hardly make any meaningful contribution during session, their slogan is " I reserve my comment".eg Remi tinubu,I haven't seen her contribute anything meaningful.

What of Contract Allowance?
What of Hotel Allowance for Extra Marital affairs?
What of Sitting Allowance?
What of standing Allowance?
What of coughing Allowance?
What of stealing Allowance?
What of killing Allowance for PDP?
So, the allowance must continue.

How do you expect someone who spent more than 100million to get elected to do? Is he father xmas?
How do you expect someone who likely assasinated a rival to get elected to behave? Will he show any empathy towards the suffering masses?
Do you expect some who used someone as a sacrificial ritual to get political power to have fear of God?
We must address all these issues. None of the members of the NA got there through morally acceptable means. They gave their life to the devil one way or the other. Same goes for the state & local gov & chairmen respectively.
The devil rules the world. These politicians are his agent.
I'm just baffled why the devil is so much interested in the middle east and Africa, esp Nigeria.

Yes! if we must fight corruption in nigeria, then every govt worker should be paid with the normal civil service salary structure. Or are they not all public servants??
