A family friend of mine just came to our house last week to show us what the bride price requested by the family of their wife to be: 120 tubers of yam, 50 fishes(catfishes), a mature goat and a 25litre keg of palm oil. As if these aren't enough, they now included a mini laptop(netbook) but no dowry was included. When i saw this bride price, i was just amazed and thinking in my mind what this world is turning to. |
