It is common knowledge to most people, the people in Israel today calling them self Jews are NOT decendents of ancient hebrew/Israelites. 1)Do the Igbo calling them self Jews know this? 2)When the Igbo say they are decendents of the Jews, do they mean the so called ''Ashkenazi Jews'' who have no link with the ancient hebrews but are actually converts or do they recognise the English translation Jew in the bible for who they decended in relation to the ancient hebrews? One thing i would personally like to tell Igbo's is you naturally have the ancient hebrew culture in your culture DO NOT COPY THE WHITE JEWS. PAGAN 9JA: Not sure if you are comparing the Igbo's to the Ashkenazi Jews (white Jews) who are currently in Israel, who have ALREADY admited they are not decendents of the biblical Jews or original hebrews.If you are, I was not comparing Igbo culture to theirs! I was comparing Igbo's to the Original Hebrews of the bible which in the English translation have a tribe called Judah who lived in Judea and thus were called Jews for short in the English translation. 1)I know the Igbo are deluded if they believe them and the Ashkenzai are the same people, Blatantly Ignoring the fact these so called Askenazi jews were pretty much controlling all Europeans & American influence in the slave trade with Igbo being the Highest rate of enslaved people of the enslaved to come out of the slave coast.Never mind the fact these so called white Jews are the richest and powerfullest people in the world because of the power the free forced labour brought them. While the Igbo struggle for that kind of worth, that is anything but brotherhood. 2) Biblically speaking, and im biblically speaking because i asked if they believed they decended from the ancient hebrews in the bible, now the Biblical Hebrews were Known for wanting to worship anything but their own gods! you can not use the fact who Igbo worship now as an excuse for them not decendeding from the biblical Israelites because that's what they did and that was also a curse... Deuteronomy 28:36 King James Version (KJV) 36 The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. Now is that curse not fitting with their apparant oral tradition which says they were exiled from Israel and with the god(s) they worship today? More over i don't think the bible said anything about how biblical hebrews danced so you would pretty much have no case with that also their is plenty of what is claimed to be pictorial evidence of ancient hebrews, not being fully clothed...but being clothed none the less. Still my Question was, Do the Igbo believe they decend from the biblical hebrews or believe they are related to the Ashkenazi Jews, who are not related to the biblical jews and hebrews. Also plenty of things Igbo have in common such as some of their clothing 8th day circumcistion, lingusitics of the Igbo and Hebrew languages and you will draw comparisons, apparantly over 300 places in Igboland having hebrew names etc etc |

Do Igbo call them self Jewish because they know the word Jew is used for a sect of people in the bible and they believe they decend from these people. Or do they call them self Jews because they think they decend from the European Converts to Judism who call them self Jews after the people in the bible (English translated versions) but have already confirmed they are not actually related to the biblical jews. Because it could be the fact they are deluded or they fact they are confused, the white people calling them self Jews today are not decendents of the biblical Jews mention in the English Translations. but more over Khazars...It could be the fact, these Khazars are going by a biblical name and confusing the Igbo thus the Igbo think they are decendents from the biblical hebrews. |
