How did igboland grow Achebe? His university days were in Ibadan. He worked in western Nigeria, and then to the United States of America. Achebe is a Nigerian. Simple. An Igbo nation under ojukwu would have looked like present day Congo where coups and bloodshed reign. Learn to accept Nigeria as a nation and forget about Biafra. Say as Achebe said, there WAS a country that never was: Conceived by tribalism aborted by unity, strength and faith.
